# QC Engineer (Civil) **Emarat Aloula contracting** · Abu Dhabi · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Purpose The QC Engineer – Civil will be responsible for implementing and monitoring project quality requirements for civil works associated with HV substations and power transmission projects. The position will ensure that construction activities, materials and workmanship comply with approved drawings, project specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, client requirements and applicable quality standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily inspections of civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved IFC/RFC drawings, specifications, method statements and ITPs. Raise and coordinate Requests for Inspection (RFIs/WIRs) with consultants and clients and ensure timely inspection and approval of completed works. Coordinate all required inspections and tests and maintain inspection records in accordance with approved ITPs. Inspect incoming construction materials and verify compliance with approved material submittals, specifications and project requirements. Review and assist in preparing material submittals, vendor approvals, method statements, ITPs and inspection checklists. Inspect civil activities associated with substations, including earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, structural works, buildings, trenches, duct banks and associated infrastructure works. Witness required site and laboratory tests and verify that test results comply with contractual and technical requirements. Identify non-conforming work and raise NCRs where construction activities deviate from approved drawings, specifications or quality requirements. Follow up corrective actions and prepare compliance statements for closure of NCRs, site instructions and quality observations. Coordinate closely with site engineers, construction teams and subcontractors to ensure proper implementation of the Project Quality Plan and QA/QC procedures. Maintain QA/QC documentation and records for internal, consultant and client audits. Participate in internal quality audits and assist in implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS). Monitor workmanship and conduct quality awareness/toolbox training for site personnel and subcontractors where required. Prepare daily/weekly inspection records, quality reports, dashboards and monthly QA/QC reports. Monitor and close punch lists/snag lists prior to project completion and handover. Coordinate with consultant/client representatives for inspections, technical clarifications and quality-related matters. Ensure all civil works are completed in accordance with TAQA Transmission/client specifications and applicable project standards. Qualification & Experience Bachelor's Degree / B. Tech in Civil Engineering. Minimum 7 years of relevant QA/QC experience, preferably within UAE/GCC EPC, utilities or power transmission projects. Minimum 5 years UAE/GCC experience preferred. Proven experience in HV substation civil works, preferably 132kV or above. Previous experience working on TAQA Transmission / TRANSCO projects is highly preferred. TAQA Transmission competency/approval is a major advantage. Previous client approvals from TAQA Transmission, DEWA, SEC or similar utility authorities will be advantageous. Strong knowledge of civil inspection procedures, ITPs, method statements, RFIs/WIRs, NCRs, material inspections, testing and QA/QC documentation. Good understanding of concrete, reinforcement, structural works, foundations, buildings, trenches and associated substation civil works. Familiarity with client specifications, project quality plans and ISO-based Quality Management Systems. Strong documentation, reporting and coordination skills. Ability to work effectively with construction teams, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
