Job Description – Chemist (Quality Control)

Job Location: Ras Al Khaimah, UAE Experience: 1–3 Years Department: Quality Control / Laboratory Reporting To: Senior QC Chemist / QC Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a Chemist to join our Quality Control Laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for conducting routine laboratory tests, checking the quality of raw materials and finished products, maintaining laboratory records and ensuring that products meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine physical and chemical tests on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
• Perform quality testing.
• Check product parameters such as viscosity, density, flash point, color, appearance, pH and other required specifications.
• Collect, label and prepare samples for laboratory testing.
• Assist in quality checks during production, blending and filling operations.
• Operate laboratory instruments and ensure they are properly maintained.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory test reports and records.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or a related field.

Experience & Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in a chemical, petrochemical, lubricant or solvent laboratory.
• Basic knowledge of chemical testing and laboratory procedures.
• Familiarity with ASTM testing methods will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of laboratory instruments and chemical handling.
• Basic understanding of MSDS/SDS, COA and laboratory documentation.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in solvents, lubricants, plasticizers, chemical blending or petrochemical manufacturing will be preferred.
