QA/QC Engineer (Civil) ( Civil construction)

Job Summary

PFC Group is looking for a detail-oriented Civil Engineer – QA/QC to support inspection and quality control activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all materials, installations and testing activities comply with approved drawings, ITPs, project specifications, and quality standards. The role requires strong coordination with site teams and proper maintenance of QA/QC documentation.

Primary Responsibilities and Deliverables:

QA/QC Responsibilities – Civil & Construction:

• Prepare, review and submit Method Statements, ITPs, RFIs, MIRs, WIRs and other QA/QC documentation.
• Ensure civil and construction activities comply with project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, ITPs and applicable quality standards.
• Coordinate with project/site teams, consultants and clients for inspections, approvals and closure of comments.
• Carry out routine site inspections and verify workmanship, materials and completed works before raising inspection requests.
• Maintain inspection records, quality logs, test reports, material approvals, certificates and related project quality documentation.
• Follow up material testing, third-party test results and calibration/certification records as applicable.
• Raise, monitor and close NCRs, observations and corrective/preventive actions in coordination with the project team.
• Support internal/external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Ensure proper QA/QC control for civil works including concrete, repair/restoration, waterproofing, structural works and related construction activities.
• Coordinate closely with the Site Engineer / Project Engineer to ensure works are inspected and approved before proceeding to subsequent activities.

1. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
2. Professional Certifications: QA/QC certification is an added advantage.
3. Years of Experience: 2 – 5 years in QA/QC for civil and construction works.
4. Industry/Domain Experience: Civil construction, concrete works, repair/restoration and/or waterproofing projects.
5. Technical Skills Required:

• Preparation and control of Method Statements, ITPs, RFIs, MIRs and WIRs.
• Good understanding of civil drawings, project specifications and quality requirements.
• Knowledge of inspection/testing requirements for concrete, repair, waterproofing and general civil works.
• Ability to maintain quality registers, inspection records, material approvals and test reports.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and standard project documentation systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Method Statements, ITPs, RFIs, MIRs, WIRs : 5 years (Preferred)
