The role requires strong experience in civil, architectural, MEP, interior fit‑out, and building envelope works. The selected candidate will ensure that all construction activities comply with project specifications, international standards, authority regulations, and approved quality procedures. The QA/QC Engineer will report directly to the Project Manager / Construction Manager and work closely with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain high‑quality project delivery. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the project’s QA/QC plan, procedures, and inspection processes. Conduct inspections for civil, architectural, MEP, interior fit‑out, and building envelope works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Review and approve material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and technical documentation submitted by subcontractors. Ensure all materials delivered to site meet project requirements, approved samples, and relevant standards. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality benchmarks, workmanship standards, and project specifications. Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve quality‑related issues and prevent rework. Conduct inspections for concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, ceilings, joinery, and other architectural finishes. Oversee MEP QA/QC activities including installation checks, testing, commissioning, and compliance with authority requirements. Verify installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑fighting systems against approved shop drawings and ITPs. Ensure proper execution of interior fit‑out works, including joinery, millwork, decorative elements, and finishing details. Inspect building envelope works such as façade systems, cladding, glazing, insulation, waterproofing, and interface details. Prepare NCRs (Non‑Conformance Reports), CARs (Corrective Action Requests), and follow up until closure. Maintain QA/QC logs for inspections, materials, tests, NCRs, and approvals. Coordinate with third‑party testing agencies for material tests, concrete tests, and specialized inspections. Attend coordination meetings with consultants, client representatives, and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, building codes, and international standards (ISO, ASTM, BS, NFPA, etc.). Support the Project Manager in resolving technical issues, design discrepancies, and quality‑related conflicts. Prepare QA/QC reports, inspection summaries, and quality dashboards for senior management. Ensure proper documentation for testing, commissioning, and final handover. Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across all site teams. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, MEP Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience , with strong GCC experience in QA/QC roles for building and infrastructure projects. Strong technical knowledge of civil, architectural, MEP, interior fit‑out, and building envelope works. Proven experience preparing and reviewing QA/QC documentation (ITPs, method statements, material submittals, NCRs, etc.). Excellent understanding of international standards: ISO, ASTM, BS, ACI, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, IEC , and relevant authority regulations. Strong coordination skills with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple inspections, solve problems quickly, and work under pressure. Proficiency in MS Office, QA/QC reporting tools, and construction documentation workflows.
