The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing , with solid expertise in Playwright, along with proven experience leading and mentoring a team of QA Test Engineers. This role is suited for someone who can balance hands-on testing, automation, team leadership, and overall QA ownership. What You'll Do Lead and mentor a team of QA Test Engineers, ensuring effective planning and execution of testing activities. Own the overall QA strategy, processes, and quality standards across projects. Plan and execute manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing. Design, develop, and maintain automation test suites using Playwright. Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and increase automation across projects. Review test cases, automation scripts, defect reports, and QA processes to ensure quality standards are maintained. Work closely with Developers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues. Ensure defects are properly identified, documented, tracked, and followed through to closure. Define and track QA metrics, test coverage, defect trends, and overall product quality. Identify risks and quality gaps early and proactively communicate them to stakeholders. Establish and continuously improve QA processes, frameworks, and best practices. Support the team in troubleshooting complex testing and automation challenges. Ensure releases meet defined quality and production-readiness standards. What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA. Proven experience leading or managing a team of QA Test Engineers . Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing. Strong experience with Playwright for test automation. Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript. Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing. Experience in writing effective test cases, test scenarios, and test plans. Strong understanding of defect lifecycle and bug tracking. Experience testing web applications and end-to-end user journeys. Good understanding of API testing and tools such as Postman. Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to mentor, guide, and build a strong QA team. Good to Have Experience building or improving automation frameworks using Playwright. Experience with Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation frameworks. Experience with cross-browser and responsive testing. Exposure to performance, security, or other non-functional testing. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Experience with tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or similar project/defect management platforms. What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who doesn't see QA as just finding bugs at the end of development. You should be someone who can build a strong QA culture, improve processes, guide the team, increase automation, and work closely with development and project teams to ensure quality is built from the start .
