(DAI) is a Philippine ICT company delivering critical systems—including HRIS, inventory management, and document management—to national government agencies. The software we build touches government payroll, biometric attendance, performance evaluation, and civil service compliance for thousands of public servants. Quality here is not optional. The Role This role combines manual and automated testing. Expect a mix of manual exploratory testing on early stage projects and building automated regression suites as projects approach release. You’ll help decide what gets automated, write the tests, and confirm each release is ready before it gets out. Key Responsibilities - Test Automation: Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and reusable frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript. - AI-Assisted Engineering: Use Cursor or similar AI coding assistants to accelerate test development, refactoring, and debugging while maintaining code quality and reliability. - Comprehensive Coverage: Build and maintain automated UI, API, and end-to-end test coverage for critical user journeys across HRIS and inventory management modules. - CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into Bitbucket Pipelines and ensure test results are surfaced in the release quality gate before deployment. - Manual Exploratory Testing: Run functional, regression, and integration testing against defined acceptance criteria, focusing on complex scenarios like government compliance workflows and cross-module data flows. - Data Validation: Validate application behavior through SQL queries and API checks. - Release Sign-Off: Confirm that test coverage is complete and automated regression has passed before final QA Lead sign-off. Essential Requirements - Minimum 2 years of hands-on QA experience, with at least 1 year in test automation. - Practical experience with Playwright and TypeScript – demonstrated ability to build and maintain test suites. - Ability to validate data through SQL queries, including writing SELECTs, JOINs, and assertions against a PostgreSQL database. - Knowledgeable in Jira (or comparable issue management systems) within an Agile environment. - Strong communication skills to clearly explain defects to developers, testing risks to Project Managers, and test strategy to Business Analysts. - Philippine-based and available to work from home, with the readiness to report to the Quezon City office or project sites when required by management. Highly Desirable (Bonus Points) - Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions). - Experience building scalable automation frameworks using the Page Object Model, fixtures, and data-driven test approaches. - Exposure to AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) for accelerating test authoring. - Experience testing PHP-based web applications (CakePHP or Laravel). - ISTQB Foundation (CTFL) or higher certification. - Experience with government or regulated-sector software featuring strict compliance requirements.
