About the Role We have an exciting role for a QA Engineer . Team responsibilities include developing scripts and tools to automate testing, building network environments for system testing, performing system tests, performing first level triage of issues discovered through test activities, and driving bug resolution with the development team. What You Will Be Doing - Designing, developing, and implementing automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools - Utilizing CircleCI for continuous integration and continuous deployment of automated tests in the cloud environment - Participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality test code and adherence to best practices - Collaborating with the development team to understand software requirements and identify test cases - Understanding Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and developing test specs from user stories - Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery of quality software - Executing automated tests and analyzing test results to identify defects and performance issues - Performing manual and exploratory testing to validate new features and uncover edge cases that automation misses - Performing first level triage of bugs discovered through test activities - Driving bug resolution with the development team Basic Qualifications • Strong proficiency in Python programming language • Extensive experience in QA automation and test automation frameworks • Knowledge of web application testing concepts, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser automation • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines Preferred Qualifications • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related work experience • Experience with C/C++, Java, or JavaScript • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools, particularly CircleCI • Knowledge of cloud platforms and experience deploying tests via the cloud • Experience with other programming languages and automation frameworks • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Gherkin language • Knowledge of API testing and familiarity with tools like Postman • Understanding of containerization and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with performance testing and load testing tools • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git What We Offer - Remote flexible - Competitive salary + equity - Growth opportunities - Generous PTO, medical, dental and vision - 401(k) Please note - Candidate must be eligible to work in the US with no Visa sponsorship - US Candidates only please - No third-party candidates Diversity, Inclusion and Equal Opportunity Originally posted on Himalayas
