# QA Automation Lead **SotaTek** · Kuala Lumpur · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role As a QA Lead, you will play a pivotal role leading our quality assurance team, responsible for ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of the software products. You will play a key role in defining test strategies, building and leading our quality assurance team. You will work closely with developers, technical leads, architects, project managers, and other cross-functional teams to design, implement, and execute automated and manual test scripts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in automated test scripts, and a keen eye for detail, whose efforts will contribute to delivering high-quality software solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities: Test Planning and Strategy: o Guide and lead QA testers, providing testing directions, support and reviewing automated test scripts. o Oversee testing activities, ensuring adherence to defined processes, metrics and quality standards, and foster continuous improvement within the team. o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and create test plans. o Define test strategies and scope, including test objectives, test environments, test cases, and test data. SLA Management & Reporting: o Configure and maintain JIRA dashboards and reports to monitor SLA compliance and drive timely resolution. o Define defect severity categories (Critical/High/Medium/Low) with associated response and resolution SLAs. o Configure and maintain JIRA dashboards and reports to monitor SLA compliance and drive timely resolution. Test Automation: o Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Selenium framework. o Implement test scripts for various types of testing for web applications (e.g., functional, regression, performance, smoke). o Automate the deployment of test environments as needed. Test Execution: o Execute automated and manual test scripts, analyze test results, and categorize and report defects. o Monitor and manage test environments and configurations. o Execute API testing using various tools (Postman, Rest assured, etc.) Test Data Management: o Create and maintain test data sets required for automated and manual testing. o Ensure data consistency and data isolation in test environments. Defect Management: o Identify, report, and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA). o Work closely with the development team to prioritize and resolve defects. Documentation: o Document test plan, test strategy, test cases, test scripts, and test results. o Document Performance Test Plan/Strategy. o Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes and procedures. Collaboration and Communication: o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams. o Communicate test progress, results, and issues to relevant stakeholders. Performance Testing: o Design and review testcases together with Performance testers. o Conduct performance testing and analyze system performance under different conditions. o Develop, Maintain and Execute JMeter Scripts. o Identify performance bottlenecks and suggest improvements. o Prepare detailed Performance Test Reports, including findings, risks. Skills 5+ years of QA experience, including at least 2 years as a senior or lead QA tester role. Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks using Selenium. Robust experience in Performance Test tool – JMeter. Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Java, Python). Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of agile development methodologies is a must Education and Certification Bachelors or associate degree in IT discipline ISTQB or similar QA certification Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
