Job Summary

RAD STAR GROUP OF COMPANIES is seeking a highly experienced China Supply Chain Expert with a strong background in the steel industry , specializing in the procurement of steel manufacturing machinery, equipment, and metal raw materials from China.

The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience in the steel industry, established connections with Chinese manufacturers and suppliers, and a proven track record in international sourcing, commercial negotiations, import logistics, and supply chain management.

This role requires a technically knowledgeable and commercially driven professional who can identify reliable suppliers, secure competitive pricing, ensure product quality, and manage the complete procurement process from China to the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong network of Chinese manufacturers, steel mills, machinery suppliers, and raw material traders.
• Source and procure steel manufacturing machinery, industrial equipment, spare parts, and raw materials, including billets, wire rods, steel scrap, ferroalloys, and other steel-related materials.
• Lead supplier identification, technical evaluation, price negotiations, contract finalization, and payment term negotiations.
• Evaluate machinery specifications, steel grades, material quality standards, and supplier technical capabilities.
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including purchase orders, production follow-up, inspections, shipping, customs clearance, and delivery to the UAE.
• Monitor steel market trends, raw material prices, machinery costs, freight rates, and international trade regulations.
• Conduct supplier visits, factory inspections, and quality assessments in China when required.
• Coordinate with internal procurement, production, engineering, finance, and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
• Develop strategic sourcing plans to reduce procurement costs, minimize supply chain risks, and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with international trade requirements, Incoterms, import documentation, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Build long-term business relationships with Chinese suppliers to secure competitive pricing, reliable supply, and sustainable business growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in the steel industry , particularly in steel machinery procurement, steel raw material sourcing, or international supply chain management.
• Proven experience in sourcing steel machinery, industrial equipment, or metal raw materials directly from China.
• Strong technical understanding of steel manufacturing processes, steel product specifications, machinery requirements, and material quality standards.
• Established network of Chinese steel manufacturers, machinery suppliers, mills, or trading companies.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is mandatory , with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management, cost analysis, and commercial decision-making skills.
• Practical knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding, customs procedures, Incoterms, and import documentation.
• Experience using ERP systems and international sourcing platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Alibaba, or Made-in-China.
• Willingness to travel to China for supplier meetings, factory visits, inspections, and business negotiations.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with direct experience working in steel manufacturing companies, steel trading companies, or industrial machinery procurement are strongly preferred.
• Experience handling large-volume steel raw material purchases and high-value machinery procurement.
• Existing professional relationships with reliable Chinese suppliers and manufacturers.
• Experience managing international procurement operations for steel plants, rolling mills, fabrication facilities, or metal processing companies.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical ability, and a results-oriented approach.
