# Purchase Executive **Kalandoor Building Contracting** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Key responsibilities Purchasing and sourcing - Review material requisitions from sites and departments; check specifications, quantities and budget codes. - Request, collect and compare at least three quotations; prepare comparison statements for approval. - Issue Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) in the ERP system and follow up until delivery. - Source new suppliers locally and internationally for materials, tools, plant hire and services. Supplier management - Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and warranties. - Maintain an approved vendor list; register and pre-qualify new vendors (trade licence, VAT certificate, bank details). - Evaluate supplier performance on price, quality and on-time delivery; raise issues and resolve disputes. Delivery and coordination - Expedite urgent orders and track open POs against project schedules. - Coordinate with stores, site engineers and QA/QC on delivery, inspection and material approvals. - Handle returns, replacements and shortages with suppliers. Documentation and compliance - Keep complete purchase records: requisitions, quotations, LPOs, delivery notes and invoices. - Match invoices with LPOs and GRNs and pass them to Accounts for payment. - Follow the company procurement policy, approval limits and UAE VAT requirements. - Coordinate import documentation and customs clearance with logistics where needed. Cost control and reporting - Track price trends and look for savings through bulk buying and alternatives. - Prepare weekly and monthly reports on open orders, spend and savings. - Perform any other related duties assigned by the Procurement Manager. Qualifications and experience - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field. - 3–5 years of purchasing experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE/GCC (construction or contracting preferred). - Good knowledge of the local supplier market for building materials, MEP items and equipment. - Hands-on experience with an ERP system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Odoo or similar). - Professional certification (CIPS or similar) is an advantage. - Valid UAE driving licence preferred. Skills and competencies - Negotiation and cost analysis - Attention to detail in specifications and documents - Time management and follow-up under tight deadlines - Clear written and spoken English; Arabic, Hindi or Malayalam is an advantage - Advanced MS Excel and Office - Integrity and confidentiality in supplier dealings - Teamwork with site, stores and accounts teams Work Location: In person
