This role provides critical communications, outreach, and stakeholder engagement support across high‑visibility landside improvement projects including Century Beautification, LAX Gateway, and other ATMP roadway initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Support implementation of stakeholder engagement and communications plans for ATMP Roadways projects. - Track and respond to public inquiries, comments, complaints, and information requests. - Prepare and distribute traffic advisories, construction notices, project updates, and community notifications. - Maintain stakeholder contact databases, distribution lists, and communication logs. - Draft correspondence, meeting notices, outreach materials, and stakeholder updates. - Assist with development of presentations, fact sheets, FAQs, and informational collateral. - Coordinate logistics for public outreach events, workshops, open houses, and community meetings. - Support website content updates, document uploads, and CMS management. - Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, graphics coordination, and monitoring. - Support media event preparation, including attendee coordination and logistics. - Prepare reports documenting outreach activities, engagement metrics, and communication performance. - Provide field outreach support at project sites, community events, and stakeholder meetings. Required Skills & Experience - Experience in public outreach, communications, public relations, or community engagement. - Preferred experience supporting public infrastructure, transportation, aviation, construction, or government projects. - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. - Detail‑oriented with strong proofreading and quality control abilities. - Ability to interact professionally with community members, businesses, agencies, and elected officials. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms (Drupal), and email marketing tools. - Knowledge of social media platforms and content management tools. Education - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Public Administration, Planning, Political Science, or related field. - Certifications in communications, public engagement, marketing, or project management are a plus. Role Requirements - Onsite presence required at LAX offices and project locations. - May require occasional evenings, weekends, or extended hours for outreach events and project milestones. - Position is not eligible for remote work. - Must provide own transportation to/from LAX worksite.
