Project & Operations Co-Ordinator (AV Industry)
ABOUT ROCKIT
Rockit is a technical event production company delivering lighting, sound and AV across a wide range of events, venues and clients. A lot of our work takes place in Central London, but we operate across the UK wherever the work takes us. Day to day, we’re a team of people who genuinely care about what we do and how we do it.
We’ve grown a lot over the years, but we’ve worked hard to keep that small team feel — people know each other, support each other and take real pride in the work we put out. We hold a high standard and we stick to it. We’re known for being the team that gets stuck in and makes things happen. The work we deliver matters, and we treat it that way.
We’ve got a strong drive to keep building and improving as a business. People here take ownership, think ahead and get things moving. There’s a shared expectation that we deliver to a high standard every time. If something needs sorting, it gets sorted. The work can be fast-paced and high-pressure at times, with quick turnarounds and long days — but there’s a good energy to it. People pull together, step up and look out for each other. Rockit isn’t a place where you’ll be left on your own - you’ll be supported by the team around you. But it’s also not somewhere you can sit back and coast; people here get stuck in, take ownership and care about doing things properly.
Rockit is a place for people who want to be involved, take pride in their work and be part of a team that holds itself to a high standard and raises each other up.
HOW WE WORK
We give people responsibility at Rockit and we want them to feel trusted to get on with their jobs but that doesn’t mean working in isolation. Events are a team effort and this role will touch almost every part of the business, so good communication is really important.
Plans will change. Something that looked settled yesterday might look completely different today. We need somebody who can adapt without losing track of everything else and who understands the difference between something they can sort themselves and something that needs another person’s input. Nobody gets everything right all of the time. We’d much rather somebody flag an issue, ask a question or say they need help than allow something to become a bigger problem. Mostly, we want somebody who cares; about getting the details right, about helping the team and about making sure our events have the best possible chance of being nothing less than exceptional.
THE ROLE
There is a huge amount that happens behind the scenes before a Rockit event ever reaches site and this role will sit right at the heart of making sure those moving parts come together properly. The Projects & Operations Co-ordinator will work closely with the Head of Projects and Project Managers to turn event plans into organised, practical delivery. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the people, vehicles, hires, logistics and information needed for our events, making sure arrangements are confirmed, systems are kept up to date and the right people know what they need to know. Some of the bigger technical and operational decisions will sit with the Head of Projects and Project Managers such as what kind of technician a job needs, which crew options should be prioritised or what the overall logistics plan should look like. Your role is to take those decisions and make them happen: contacting people, progressing bookings, sourcing agreed resources, chasing information, updating schedules and keeping everything moving.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being organised, likes joining the dots and gets satisfaction from seeing a plan come together. You’ll need to be comfortable managing several jobs at once, keeping an eye on what is coming up and spotting when something is missing, unclear or likely to cause a problem. Things will change, often at short notice, so you’ll also need to be adaptable and able to reprioritise without losing track of the wider picture. We don’t expect you to know everything or solve every problem yourself but we do need someone who will take ownership of what sits with them, ask questions when they need to and raise issues early enough for us to do something about them.
You’ll work across much of the business, particularly with Projects, Technical Resources and Warehouse, so strong communication and good working relationships will be a big part of the role. Done well, this person will make life easier for everyone around them and help our events run more smoothly from the warehouse right through to site.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Coordinating the day-to-day operational detail behind our events, working closely with the Head of Projects, Project Managers, Technical Resources and Warehouse.

- Chasing outstanding information, confirmations and actions so that things keep moving and don’t get left unresolved.
- Communicating changes clearly to the people affected and helping information move properly between teams.

- Supporting good handovers between project planning, warehouse preparation and event delivery.

- Supporting the wider operational workload and helping improve the way we organise and deliver our events.
- Supporting on-site work where required
