Job Summary: This consulting opportunity is for an experienced Senior Project Manager to support healthcare technology, data, and program initiatives for a California state government client. The work includes project planning, execution, governance, compliance, risk management, deliverables, and executive reporting, with a focus on Medicaid/Medi-Cal, Medicare, and healthcare information systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end management of healthcare technology, data, and analytics projects.
• Manage initiatives supporting Medicaid/Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other government healthcare programs.
• Coordinate work involving EMR/EHR systems, healthcare applications, data platforms, integrations, and interoperability.
• Align project activities with applicable HIPAA, privacy, security, state, federal, CMS, and DHCS requirements.
• Oversee healthcare data analytics initiatives, including dashboards, reporting, KPIs, data quality, and executive-level analytics.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, RAID logs, governance structures, and project documentation.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, scope, schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
• Facilitate meetings with agency leadership, healthcare subject matter experts, technical and data teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare executive-level status reports, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations.
• Support timely completion and acceptance of project deliverables.

Qualifications:

• PMP certification required.
• At least 8 years of project or program management experience leading large, complex initiatives.
• Strong healthcare industry experience and experience working with state or federal government agencies.
• Project experience involving Medicaid/Medi-Cal and/or Medicare programs.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance , healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems , healthcare information systems, data analytics, reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with CMS requirements , PHI, HL7, FHIR, BI tools, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project environments is preferred.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
