# Project Manager- Fit Out **Gdm interiors** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 6 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role JOB DESCRIPTION Project Manager – Interior Fit-Out Department: Projects Reports To: Managing Director/ CEO Location: UAE Employment Type: Full-Time Job Purpose The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, coordination, and successful completion of interior fit-out projects within the approved budget, programme, quality standards, and contractual requirements. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to effectively coordinate clients, consultants, designers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned fit-out projects. Review project scope, drawings, specifications, BOQ, contract documents, and programme. Develop and monitor detailed project execution plans and construction programmes. Establish project priorities, milestones, manpower requirements, and resource allocation. Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Monitor progress against the approved programme and take corrective action where required. Identify potential delays and implement recovery plans. 2. Site Management Lead and supervise Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, and site teams. Coordinate daily site activities and ensure proper sequencing of works. Ensure adequate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment are available at site. Monitor productivity and ensure efficient utilization of resources. Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings. Ensure housekeeping and proper site organization are maintained. 3. Client & Consultant Coordination Act as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants on project-related matters. Attend site meetings and coordinate with consultants, architects, and client representatives. Understand client requirements and ensure timely resolution of issues. Maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders. Obtain necessary approvals, inspections, and clearances from consultants/client representatives. Communicate project progress, risks, delays, and critical issues to management. 4. Design & Technical Coordination Coordinate with the design, drafting, and technical teams to ensure timely issuance of construction drawings. Review drawings for constructability and identify discrepancies or coordination issues. Coordinate architectural, MEP, joinery, civil, and other specialist works. Raise RFIs and technical queries where necessary. Ensure all works are carried out using the latest approved drawings and documents. Coordinate design changes and assess their impact on programme and cost. 5. Procurement & Material Coordination Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials. Prepare and monitor material requirements based on project programme. Review material submittals and samples before submission to the client/consultant. Monitor long-lead items and ensure timely procurement. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to avoid delays. Ensure materials delivered to site meet approved specifications and quality standards. 6. Subcontractor Management Identify and coordinate subcontractors in accordance with project requirements. Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, quality, and programme. Ensure subcontractors comply with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and project procedures. Resolve site coordination issues between subcontractors and internal teams. Review subcontractor progress and highlight delays or performance concerns to management. 7. Cost & Commercial Control Monitor project costs against the approved budget. Control wastage, rework, overtime, and unnecessary expenditure. Coordinate with the QS/Commercial team regarding variations, claims, and additional works. Ensure variations are properly identified, documented, and submitted for approval. Review project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Monitor subcontractor and supplier commitments against project budgets. 8. Quality Control Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards. Coordinate inspections and ensure timely closure of inspection comments and NCRs. Minimize rework through proper planning and supervision. Ensure mock-ups, samples, and prototypes are completed and approved where required. Conduct regular quality inspections throughout the project. 9. Health & Safety Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety requirements and project-specific HSE procedures. Ensure site teams and subcontractors follow all applicable safety requirements. Coordinate with the HSE team regarding site inspections and corrective actions. Immediately address unsafe practices or conditions. 10. Project Reporting Prepare and submit regular project progress reports to management. Monitor project KPIs, programme, manpower, procurement, and financial performance. Maintain accurate project records and documentation. Highlight risks, delays, commercial issues, and resource requirements to management at an early stage. Provide management with practical recommendations and recovery strategies. 11. Testing, Handover & Close-Out Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and rectification works. Ensure all snagging items are closed within the agreed timeframe. Coordinate preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and handover documentation. Ensure successful completion and handover of projects to the client. Assist the commercial team with project close-out and final account requirements. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Projects completed within approved programme. Projects delivered within approved budget. Client and consultant satisfaction. Quality and reduction of rework/NCRs. Timely procurement and material availability. Effective subcontractor and manpower management. Timely closure of snags and project handover. Successful management of variations and commercial opportunities. Compliance with HSE requirements. Accurate and timely project reporting. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in interior fit-out/construction , preferably within the UAE/GCC. Proven experience managing commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, or office fit-out projects. Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods, materials, MEP coordination, joinery, and finishing works. UAE project experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of project planning, procurement, subcontractor management, and project coordination. Experience with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project is preferred. Knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to understand technical drawings. Strong understanding of project documentation and contractual requirements.
