Position Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for guiding exhibit projects from start to finish, keeping them on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. This role is the main point of connection among Sales, Design, Estimating, the shop, vendors, and show services. The Project Manager sets clear goals and timelines and makes sure every team has what it needs to deliver. This position requires a thorough understanding of exhibit fabrication, strong technical drawing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Our PM department also does all project detailing, so candidates need both strong AutoCAD skills and solid project management experience in the tradeshow/exhibit industry. They'll produce the shop and show site drawings for their projects as well as manage schedules, budgets and vendors. Responsibilities - Prepare, develop, and execute all the detailed drawings needed for a successful setup in the CEP shop and Show Site, including all show site drawings. - Build project schedules and communicate them across all departments so tasks are completed on time. - Identify and coordinate the internal and external resources needed to meet project goals. - Work directly with shop staff to carry out project requirements and fabrication needs. - Coordinate with vendors on scheduling and manage the ordering of materials. - Keep projects within the scope and budget provided by the Estimating department. - Use and support OCTANORM exhibition systems when required. - Track project milestones and provide status updates to internal teams. - Troubleshoot project issues quickly and cost-effectively. - Follow CEP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on all projects. - Stay aware of emerging technologies and how they can be applied to projects. - Travel occasionally as required (approximately 5%). - Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements - 3–5 years of experience in the tradeshow, exhibit, or events industry required. - Thorough understanding of exhibit fabrication techniques and materials, including wood and laminate construction. - Technical experience with AutoCAD (2D and 3D) required. - Working knowledge of industry vendors and materials. - Strong knowledge of project management tools and software. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Familiarity with business reporting systems and inventory management. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. - Strong attention to detail while working within budget and schedule constraints. - Ability to work effectively under tight timelines, short lead times, and changing schedules. - Bachelor’s degree preferred.
