Kerr Carpentry and Construction has been delivering high-end bespoke carpentry and construction across Surrey, Sussex and Kent since 2001. We work on premium extensions, new builds, refurbishments and specialist joinery for private homeowners and developers — including listed buildings and prestige projects — and we're known for the quality of finish we bring to every job. As our workload grows, we're looking for an organised, hands-on Project Manager to join our team in East Grinstead. This is a key role in a small, close-knit business: you'll be the person who keeps our projects running to programme, to budget and to the standard our clients expect. This is a great opportunity for an existing Project Manager looking to widen their experience on high-end, bespoke work — or for a high-performing Site Foreman who is ready for that next step. The Role You'll take ownership of projects from start to finish — from planning through to handover — across residential extensions, refurbishments and bespoke joinery work. Managing multiple projects at once, from pre-start through to completion and snagging - Planning programmes, scheduling trades and subcontractors, and ordering materials - Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, and resolving queries on site - Supporting with pricing, quotes, variations and keeping project costs under control - Acting as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers and Building Control - Regular site visits to monitor progress, quality of finish and health & safety - Preparing RAMS, site inductions and making sure sites are run safely and tidily - Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm What We're Looking For - Experience as a Project, Site or Contracts Manager — or a strong Site Foreman ready to step up - A background in carpentry or a construction trade - Confident reading drawings and working to a high-end specification - Strong organisational skills — able to juggle several projects and keep everyone informed - Good working knowledge of building regulations and site health & safety - SMSTS or SSSTS and a valid CSCS card - Full UK driving licence - Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional manner with clients - A genuine eye for detail and quality of finish What You'll Get - £45,000 per year salary - Company van and fuel provided - Workplace pension - A steady pipeline of varied, premium projects, with an experienced team behind you - Real ownership of your projects and a chance to shape how we run our sites as we grow How to Apply Please apply with your full CV Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year Application question(s): - Do you hold a full clean driving licence? - Do you hold a valid CSCS card?
