The role combines technical oversight, contract management, and leadership of our engineering and site teams. Mandatory Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. - At least 10 years of experience; 5 of them in UAE, including managing complete projects and teams or departments within an engineering consultancy or contractor’s office. - Dubai Municipality G+4 structural approval (at least), with readiness to register under our company and have your name listed in the DEQ. - Strong structural engineering knowledge, with the ability to supervise and review structural calculations, checks, and drawings prepared by the team. - Strong experience in FIDIC, contract drafting, and contract administration, including identifying risks and protecting the company’s contractual and commercial interests. - Experience managing disputes, resolving conflicts, and negotiating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. - BIM experience, including oversight of multidisciplinary coordination. - Available to join immediately. Responsibilities - Manage projects across design, authority approvals, tendering, and construction. - Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, milestones, and resource plans. - Monitor progress and expenditure against approved schedules and budgets, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions. - Manage project scope and changes, assessing their impact on cost, deadlines, and resources. - Assign responsibilities, set priorities, and follow up with teams to ensure timely delivery. - Supervise structural design checks and drawings, ensuring technical quality and compliance. - Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP teams and resolve issues between disciplines. - Conduct site visits to assess overall progress, quality, safety concerns, and coordination across all disciplines. - Manage site engineers, who will report directly to you, and follow up on their findings and corrective actions. - Oversee authority submissions, approvals, and responses to technical comments. - Draft, review, and administer contracts; manage variations, claims, notices, and contractual obligations. - Protect the company’s interests through clear documentation, timely notices, and effective risk management. - Manage conflicts and disputes with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders. - Establish and monitor project and team KPIs covering progress, quality, productivity, deadlines, and costs. - Manage tender preparation, contractor clarifications, bid evaluation, and recommendations. - Guide and review BOQ preparation, ensuring alignment with drawings, specifications, and project scope. - Provide management with clear reports on project performance, budgets, risks, and decisions required. Software Requirements - ETABS and SAFE: sufficient proficiency to review structural analysis and design outputs. - AutoCAD: drawing review. - Revit and BIM coordination tools: model review and multidisciplinary coordination. - Microsoft Project or Primavera P6: project planning and progress monitoring. - Microsoft Excel or other tool for: budgeting, reporting, KPIs, tender comparisons, and cost tracking. Preferred Qualifications and Experience Preference will be given to candidates with: - Dubai Municipality G+12 structural approval, with readiness for registration under our company in the DEQ. - Hands-on experience managing Dubai Building Permit System submissions. - Hands-on experience handling DDA submissions and approval procedures. - A proven record of managing complex claims, resolving contractual disputes, and protecting company interests.
