Job Description

Aztec Middle East Contracting LLC is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Project Manager (Civil) to lead and manage construction projects across the UAE.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and extensive experience in managing civil construction, building, and renovation projects from initiation to successful completion.

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, budgeting, resource management, quality control, and client coordination while ensuring projects are delivered within approved timelines, budgets, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, execute, and oversee construction projects from mobilization through completion and handover.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, resource allocation plans, and execution strategies.
• Manage and coordinate site engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, manpower productivity, material utilization, procurement activities, and overall project performance.
• Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, control costs, and implement corrective measures to prevent cost overruns.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of project-related matters.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical documentation.
• Identify project risks, delays, and technical challenges and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, work progress, payment certifications, variations, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Commercial, QA/QC, HSE, and Finance departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular project meetings, site inspections, and progress reviews.
• Prepare and present project progress reports, budget updates, risk assessments, and performance reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
• Lead project testing, commissioning coordination, snag rectification, final inspections, and successful project handover.
• Take overall responsibility for achieving project milestones, client satisfaction, profitability, and successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Extensive experience in project management within the construction and contracting industry.
• UAE/GCC construction project management experience is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of independently managing civil construction, commercial, residential, or renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant UAE authorities.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Good understanding of FIDIC contracts, variation management, project claims, and contractual obligations.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple project priorities.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence preferred.
