Project Manager
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of a pumping station rehabilitation project in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the project from planning and mobilization through construction, rehabilitation, testing, commissioning, and handover. The Project Manager will ensure that the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved specifications, contractual requirements, quality standards, and applicable UAE regulations. Key Responsibilities Manage the overall execution of the pumping station rehabilitation project, including civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and associated works. Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, resource plans, procurement activities, and execution strategies. Coordinate with the client, consultant, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and internal departments. Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and contractual requirements. Lead project planning, progress monitoring, cost control, risk management, and reporting. Manage rehabilitation works while maintaining safe and reliable operation of existing pumping station facilities. Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, temporary works, testing, commissioning, and changeover activities. Review and approve technical submissions, method statements, work programs, material submittals, and other project documentation. Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and commercial concerns and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Manage variations, claims, change orders, and contractual correspondence in coordination with the commercial/contracts team. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture throughout the project. Ensure quality control and quality assurance requirements are implemented and maintained. Lead regular progress meetings and provide accurate project status reports to senior management and the client. Coordinate testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, snagging, and final handover. Ensure project closeout, as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and handover documents are completed on time. Lead and motivate the project team to achieve project objectives and maintain effective communication across all disciplines. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering , or a related engineering discipline. 10+ years of relevant project management experience , preferably in water, wastewater, pumping stations, utility infrastructure, or MEP projects. Proven experience managing rehabilitation, upgrade, or refurbishment projects involving existing pumping stations or water infrastructure . Strong knowledge of project planning, construction management, testing and commissioning, cost control, and contract administration. Experience working with government/semi-government clients, consultants, and utility authorities in the UAE is highly desirable. Strong understanding of HSE and quality management requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple disciplines, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively. Proficiency in project management and reporting tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6, MS Office, and relevant engineering/document-control systems . UAE driving license is an advantage. PMP certification and/or relevant professional engineering certification is preferred. Pay: From AED25,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
