Job Description: Projects Manager (Lighting & Automation)

Location: Al Garhoud, Dubai, UAE.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, technically astute, and results-driven projects manager to lead the end-to-end execution of high-end architectural lighting and smart automation projects from inception to final handover.

In this role, you will act as the primary operational link between Creation Gulf, main contractors, MEP consultants, and interior designers. You will oversee site coordination, manage installation, supervise testing and commissioning of advanced control systems (e.g., KNX, DALI, GRMS), monitor timely documentation, co-ordinate payments, and ensure that every project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

-

Lead the end-to-end execution of lighting, automation, and GRMS projects, ensuring alignment with approved scopes, technical specifications, and contractual timelines.

Coordinate with potential subcontractors/installers and evaluate suitable teams to work with on the project based on capability, scope, and budgets.

Plan and undertake surveys to obtain necessary information from the site to be able to quote accurately

Develop comprehensive project master schedules, tracking key milestones from planning, coordination, site delivery, installation, commissioning, documentation, invoicing, and site acceptance tests (SAT).

Manage project budgets, monitor cost variances, and optimise resource allocation to protect project profitability in terms of installation costs

1. Stakeholder & Site Management

-

Serve as the main point of contact for clients, main contractors, MEP consultants, and interior designers, building strong professional rapport on-site.

Coordinate site activities with internal engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery and staging of delicate lighting fixtures and hardware.

Lead project progress meetings, resolve site clashes, and proactively address any execution bottlenecks.

1. Commercial Support, Technical Oversight & Commissioning

Guide Design/Sales teams to accurately budget for installation activities on projects

Support the design team in local material procurement for items such as cables, connectors, etc.

Support the design team to obtain and evaluate multiple quotations for installation works on projects.

Supervise the installation of lighting, lighting control systems, smart automation, and Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS).

Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, Material Approval Requests (MAR), and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Ensure all installations comply with local regulatory standards, safety codes, and manufacturer specifications.

1. Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)

-

Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across all assigned project sites.

Conduct regular site safety inspections and quality audits to minimise rework and maintain the Company's high standards of craftsmanship.

Handle snagging lists efficiently, ensuring client sign-off and project closeout documentation are completed smoothly.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

-

Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics, or related technical discipline.

Experience:

6 to 10+ years of proven project management experience, specifically within architectural lighting, smart building automation, low-current systems, MEP, or interior fit-out contracting.

Solid hands-on experience managing medium-to-large-scale commercial, residential, or hospitality projects within the UAE or the broader GCC region.

Technical Knowledge:

Ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings, electrical schematics, and MEP layouts.

Strong knowledge and experience with electrical installation works

Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Odoo) and AutoCAD basics.
