Wicklow, Ireland. ABOUT DORTEK: Dortek is a Global company and we have been manufacturing a range of specialist hygienic door sets, automated doors and window systems since 1968 for installation throughout Ireland, UK, Europe, US and SE Asia. Our dedicated in-house teams deliver complex, bespoke door packages from initial design, through to specification and manufacturing, installation and final commissioning. Dortek supply the top 20 global pharmaceutical manufacturers and provide a total project management solution of door packages across Food Manufacturing; Pharmaceutical; Cleanroom Research Laboratories; Hospitals and Retail sectors internationally. The Project Manager will support the team in delivering successful projects to critical facilities in the various sectors we work within. Reporting directly to the Project Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the projects from concept to completion. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage all assigned projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to the stakeholder’s objectives. - Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities. - Use established practices, templates, policies, tools and relationships throughout the life-cycle of the project. - Prepare estimates and detailed project plans as required. - Participate in project management team meetings. - Co-ordinate and liaise with stakeholders to ensure that all have timely and accurate information. - Ensure compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations and good building practices. - Check and understand all drawings and specification, issue timely feedback where required. - Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations. The above is a non-exhaustive summary of responsibilities that the Project Manager will be expected to fulfil. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE - 5 years construction or Project Manager’s experience. - Qualification or Experience in Engineering or Construction Management. - Ideally have door and window experience. - Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction. - Proven experience in managing project budgets, forecasting, and cost control to ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints - Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management. - Knowledge and or experience of 2D AutoCAD or SolidWorks is beneficial. - Ability to read technical drawings/layouts. - Ability to use SAP Business One or similar for data entry, sheets/schedules. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in a fast-paced dynamic programs office and be willing to adapt and get on with the job as circumstances change. Our ideal candidate will have the following personal skills: - Be driven to work to the highest quality levels - Excellent communication skills (oral and written). - Commercially astute, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage budgets effectively while maintaining project quality and timelines - Ability to travel to project sites for visits and meetings. - Ability to multitask, critical think, and problem-solve is required - Ability to work as part of a team, and individually - Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught is required. - Self-motivated, proactive and the ability to work to timescales - Punctual.
