Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Construction to oversee and manage construction projects from planning and mobilization through completion and handover. The candidate will be responsible for project execution, coordination, cost and schedule control, quality, safety, subcontractor management, and client/consultant relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete execution of construction projects from commencement to completion and handover.
• Develop and monitor detailed project schedules, milestones, manpower plans, and resource requirements.
• Ensure projects are completed within the approved time, budget, scope, and quality requirements .
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and internal departments.
• Lead and supervise project teams, site engineers, supervisors, quantity surveyors, and other project personnel.
• Monitor daily site activities and ensure construction works are progressing according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and schedules.
• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and other technical documents.
• Coordinate procurement and ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including progress monitoring and performance evaluation.
• Monitor project costs, variations, claims, payments, and overall commercial performance.
• Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and resource constraints and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with consultants for inspections, approvals, RFIs, material submittals, shop drawings, and technical issues.
• Ensure all works comply with approved quality standards and project specifications.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, site safety procedures, and applicable UAE regulations .
• Conduct regular progress meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports and management updates.
• Monitor project KPIs, productivity, progress, costs, and schedule performance.
• Manage variations, extensions of time, contractual issues, and project correspondence.
• Ensure proper project documentation, records, approvals, and reporting are maintained.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final project handover.
• Ensure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and other closeout documentation.
• Maintain positive professional relationships with clients and all project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field .
• Minimum 10years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, scheduling, and site management.
• Experience working with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Strong understanding of project cost control, variations, claims, and contracts.
• Good knowledge of construction quality and HSE requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and meet tight project deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera P6, AutoCAD, MS Office , or other relevant construction software.
• PMP / PMI certification or relevant professional certification will be an advantage.
• UAE construction experience is preferred.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
