Your Role We are seeking a Licensed Architect/Project Manager to join our team immediately in our downtown Chicago office. This position is in-office at the time of hire. Hybrid work opportunities may be considered in the future based on business and role requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of professional architectural experience, including at least 2 years of project management experience. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, organized, and hands-on project leader who can effectively manage people, consultants, schedules, and project deliverables while maintaining an active role in the design and documentation process. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects at varying stages of design and construction, coordinating project teams and consultants, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality. We are looking for someone who can confidently lead projects and teams, communicate effectively with both in-office and remote staff, and step into the technical work when needed to help move projects forward. This position is well suited for an architect who enjoys leading project teams while remaining actively involved in the design and documentation process. Experience with public project types is strongly preferred. Required Qualifications Licensed Architect required. Minimum 8 years of professional architectural practice experience. Minimum 2 years of project management experience. Experience with public project types strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and delegate work effectively. Experience working with remote staff and distributed project teams. Experience coordinating with S/MEP consultants; in-house consultant experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of design and construction. Strong understanding of architectural design, documentation, and construction processes. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of project responsibilities. Willingness and ability to remain involved in drawing production and technical aspects of projects.
