Our work spans infrastructure, industrial facilities, and public-private partnership (PPP) projects across the island. About the Role: We're looking for a Project Inspector to provide on-site quality assurance and construction inspection support across our infrastructure project portfolio. You'll verify that field work conforms to approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes, and serve as an eyes-and-ears presence between design intent and construction execution. This role requires an EIT certification, with a PE license considered a strong plus. Responsibilities: - Perform on-site inspections of infrastructure construction activities to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards - Document daily field observations, quantities, and progress through inspection reports and daily logs - Verify materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet project specifications and quality requirements - Coordinate with contractors, project engineers, and testing laboratories on QA/QC matters - Review contractor pay applications and quantities against actual field conditions - Identify and document non-conformances; support resolution and corrective-action tracking - Support review of RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings from a field-constructability perspective - Maintain accurate as-built documentation and photographic records - Coordinate with permitting and regulatory agencies (e.g., PRASA, DTOP, municipal authorities) to support required inspections - Support project closeout documentation Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required - Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required - Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred - Prior experience in construction inspection, QA/QC, or field engineering on infrastructure projects preferred - Familiarity with applicable codes and standards - Proficient in MS Office/Excel; familiarity with inspection or field-reporting software a plus - Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred - Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout Puerto Rico - Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and communication skills Compensation: Starting at $37.00 per hour, with growth potential based on performance, experience, and certification.
