The position ensures that all works are completed efficiently, safely, on schedule, within the approved budget, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and company policies. The Project In-Charge also oversees the proper coordination and utilization of project materials, equipment, manpower, and warehouse operations , ensuring that materials are properly received, stored, issued, monitored, and accounted for throughout the project lifecycle. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Project Management & Site Execution Oversee and manage day-to-day project site operations and activities. Ensure that project activities are executed according to approved plans, specifications, methodologies, and schedules. Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and project personnel to maintain smooth project operations. Identify and resolve site-related issues, delays, and operational concerns promptly. Ensure proper deployment and utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment. 2. Planning & Coordination Review construction drawings, technical plans, specifications, and work programs prior to implementation. Coordinate with the project team regarding work schedules, manpower requirements, material requirements, and equipment needs. Conduct and participate in regular coordination meetings with project stakeholders. Monitor project milestones and identify potential delays or constraints. Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse personnel to ensure timely availability of required materials. 3. Warehouse & Material Management Oversee and coordinate the proper management of the project warehouse and storage areas. Ensure proper receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and recording of construction materials, tools, and equipment. Monitor inventory levels and ensure that materials are available based on project requirements. Ensure proper segregation, labeling, stacking, and storage of materials to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration. Monitor the issuance and consumption of materials to project personnel and subcontractors. Review material requisitions, withdrawal slips, delivery receipts, and other warehouse-related documentation. Conduct or coordinate regular physical inventory and reconciliation of project materials. Monitor material usage and identify discrepancies, excessive consumption, shortages, or potential wastage. Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers regarding material deliveries, shortages, and discrepancies. Ensure that obsolete, damaged, excess, or unused materials are properly identified and reported. Implement proper controls to minimize material losses, pilferage, and unnecessary wastage. Coordinate with the Warehouse/Logistics team to ensure proper documentation and tracking of all materials entering and leaving the project site. 4. Quality Control Ensure that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality of ongoing works. Coordinate with the QA/QC team regarding inspections, testing, and quality concerns. Ensure that identified defects, deficiencies, and non-conformities are properly addressed. Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of quality issues. 5. Safety & Compliance Ensure strict implementation of company safety policies, project safety requirements, and applicable occupational safety and health regulations. Coordinate with the Safety Officer regarding site safety requirements and corrective actions. Ensure that workers, subcontractors, and visitors comply with established site safety procedures. Participate in safety meetings, toolbox meetings, and site inspections. Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and other safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Support the implementation of emergency preparedness and response procedures. 6. Cost & Resource Control Monitor the efficient utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and other project resources. Monitor material consumption and implement measures to minimize wastage. Assist in monitoring project costs, variations, and additional works. Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, and Accounting teams regarding project-related purchases and expenditures. Ensure proper utilization and accountability of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials. 7. Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination Coordinate and monitor the activities of subcontractors and suppliers on site. Ensure subcontractors comply with approved work schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and project procedures. Monitor subcontractor performance and progress. Address operational concerns and coordinate necessary corrective actions. Verify material deliveries and ensure they conform to project requirements and approved specifications. 8. Reporting & Documentation Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports . Document site activities, accomplishments, manpower deployment, material usage, equipment utilization, and project concerns. Maintain proper records of site instructions, inspections, deliveries, material withdrawals, and other project-related documents. Report project delays, risks, material shortages, manpower concerns, and other critical issues to Top Management. Coordinate with head office personnel to ensure timely submission of required project documentation. 9. Team Leadership & Supervision Lead and supervise project personnel, site workers, and assigned support staff. Assign tasks and responsibilities based on project requirements. Monitor employee and workforce performance and productivity. Provide guidance and support to site personnel in resolving operational concerns. Promote teamwork, accountability, discipline, and professionalism within the project team. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field . Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction, project supervision, or site operations . Preferably with warehouse, inventory, materials management, or construction logistics experience . Experience in supervising construction projects, contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel. Experience in monitoring construction materials, equipment, and warehouse operations is highly preferred. Knowledge of construction methods, project coordination, material management, safety requirements, and quality standards. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications , particularly MS Excel and MS Word. Knowledge of project management, inventory, or construction management software is an advantage. Willing to be assigned to project sites and work extended hours when required. Regular coordination with Head Office, suppliers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. May be required to visit or coordinate with project warehouses, suppliers, and delivery locations. Willing to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays when required by project demands. Willing to be assigned to different project locations as required by the company.
