On-Site Civil & Structural Supervision Serve as the licensed civil engineer and primary technical authority on the assigned project site, ensuring all works conform to approved structural and civil drawings. Supervise and direct all civil and structural construction activities including earthworks, concreting, formwork, reinforcement, masonry, waterproofing, and finishing works. Conduct daily site inspections to verify workmanship quality, structural compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications. Review and interpret structural drawings, civil plans, and technical specifications and communicate requirements clearly to foremen and workers on site. Ensure all structural elements — columns, beams, slabs, walls, and foundations — are constructed in strict accordance with design intent and engineering tolerances. Evaluate site conditions and provide technical recommendations on construction methods, sequencing, and temporary works to ensure structural safety and efficiency. Issue site instructions and technical directives to the site team and ensure proper implementation and documentation of all instructions given. 2. Project Planning & Scheduling Prepare and maintain the detailed site work program and construction schedule in coordination with the Project Manager. Break down the project schedule into weekly and daily work targets for foremen and site teams and monitor accomplishment against set targets. Identify critical path activities and proactively manage schedule risks to prevent delays in project completion. Coordinate the sequencing and scheduling of civil, structural, and MEP works to optimize site productivity and avoid conflicts. Prepare look-ahead schedules (2-week and 4-week) and present construction progress updates in project coordination meetings. Assess the impact of change orders, design revisions, or unforeseen site conditions on the project schedule and report to the Project Manager with recommended solutions. 3. Structural Quality Control & Assurance Implement and enforce the project’s Quality Management Plan (QMP) for all civil and structural works on site. Conduct pre-pour inspections for all concrete pours, verifying reinforcement placement, bar spacing, cover requirements, formwork integrity, and cleanliness before concreting proceeds. Monitor and control concrete mix design, slump tests, cylinder sampling, and curing procedures to ensure compliance with design compressive strength requirements. Review and verify material test reports including reinforcing steel mill certifications, concrete cylinder test results, and soil compaction reports. Inspect and approve all material deliveries to the project site, ensuring conformance with approved submittals and project specifications. Document and report all non-conformances, defective works, and quality deficiencies; ensure prompt corrective and preventive action is taken. Coordinate third-party material testing, structural inspections, and special inspections required by the local building official or the project specifications. 4. Cost Management & Quantity Monitoring Monitor daily consumption of materials, manpower, and equipment against approved budgets and project quantities. Prepare and submit weekly material requests and pull-out slips with accurate quantity computations to support procurement and budget management. Verify and validate accomplished quantities of civil and structural works for weekly progress billing and subcontractor payment valuations. Identify material wastage, over-usage, or pilferage on site and implement corrective measures to control costs. Assist the Project Manager in the evaluation and pricing of variation orders, change orders, and extra works arising on site. Monitor subcontractor work accomplishments and verify quantities for billing and payment processing against approved rates. 5. Site Safety & HSE Compliance Champion and enforce all company and project-specific Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and standards on the assigned project site. Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings for all site workers covering the day’s activities, hazards, and required precautions. Perform regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and HSE non-compliances; take immediate corrective action. Ensure all workers are equipped with and properly using required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on site. Implement permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities including excavation works, scaffolding, concrete pouring at height, and confined space entry. Investigate all accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents on site; prepare and submit incident reports to the Project Manager promptly. Ensure compliance with DOLE safety requirements, OSHA standards, and local government ordinances applicable to construction activities. 6. Materials & Resource Management Plan, monitor, and control the utilization of construction materials, manpower, and equipment on site to optimize productivity and minimize waste. Coordinate timely procurement and delivery of materials to the site in alignment with the construction schedule. Ensure proper storage, handling, and protection of all construction materials and equipment on site to prevent damage or deterioration. Manage the issuance of materials from the site stockroom and maintain accurate records of all material movements. Coordinate equipment mobilization, deployment, and demobilization in coordination with the Project Manager and logistics team. Report equipment breakdowns, maintenance needs, and resource shortfalls to the Project Manager for immediate resolution. 7. Workforce Management & Leadership Lead, supervise, and motivate the site workforce including foremen, skilled tradesmen, and general laborers to achieve daily and weekly productivity targets. Assign work tasks to foremen and workers based on skills, experience, and project requirements to maximize site efficiency. Monitor daily attendance, manpower deployment, and worker productivity; address absenteeism, performance issues, and labor disputes at the site level. Foster a positive, disciplined, and safety-conscious work culture among all site personnel. Coordinate and monitor the performance of subcontractors and specialty trade contractors working on the project site. Conduct performance coaching and on-the-job guidance for foremen and skilled workers to continuously improve site execution quality. 8. Client, Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination Act as the primary on-site point of contact for the client’s representative, project consultants, and government inspectors during site visits and inspections. Accompany and assist clients, consultants, and building officials during site inspections and address queries, observations, and punch list items professionally. Coordinate with the local building official (LBO), structural engineer-of-record (SEOR), and special inspectors for required structural inspections and permit compliance. Communicate project status, construction issues, and technical concerns clearly and professionally to all relevant stakeholders. Ensure that all client concerns, design clarifications, and site instructions are documented and acted upon promptly. 9. Technical Documentation & Reporting Prepare and submit accurate and detailed daily construction reports covering work accomplished, manpower count, materials used, equipment deployed, weather conditions, and issues encountered. Maintain a comprehensive project site diary and photographic documentation of all construction activities, milestones, and significant events. Prepare and submit weekly progress reports to the Project Manager including schedule status, quality updates, safety performance, and issues log. Document all site instructions, design clarifications, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders with proper justification and supporting records. Maintain and update as-built markups on drawings as construction progresses, ensuring accurate records of as-constructed conditions. Prepare punch list documentation and monitor the completion of deficiency items prior to project turnover and acceptance. Compile and submit complete project closeout documentation including as-built drawings, material test reports, warranties, and O&M information at project completion. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education & Licensure Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Safety Officer certification (SO2 level or higher) accredited by DOLE/OSHC is a strong advantage. With Personal Laptop & Transportation tools - Amenable to use at work is a plus. Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
