Architectural Site Supervision Monitor and supervise all architectural and finishing works on the assigned project site including tile works, plastering, painting, ceiling works, door and window installation, and other finishing items. Verify that all architectural works on site conform to the approved architectural drawings, finish schedules, material specifications, and design intent. Conduct daily site walkthroughs to check workmanship quality, material usage, and progress of architectural and finishing activities. Interpret and communicate architectural drawings, details, and specifications clearly to foremen and workers on site. Coordinate the sequencing of finishing works with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth workflow. Identify architectural deficiencies, misalignments, or non-conformances on site and immediately report to the supervising architect or project manager. Ensure that all architectural installations including doors, windows, curtain walls, cladding, and built-in elements are installed plumb, level, and per approved details. 2. Quality Control & Workmanship Inspection Implement the project’s quality standards for all architectural and finishing works and ensure compliance by all workers and subcontractors. Inspect tile laying, grouting, plastering, and painting works for proper application, surface preparation, and finish quality. Check material deliveries and verify that all architectural materials — tiles, paints, hardware, fixtures, and finishes — match the approved samples and submittals before acceptance. Monitor and enforce correct mixing ratios, application thickness, and curing periods for all finishing materials as per manufacturer specifications. Prepare and maintain inspection checklists for each architectural work activity and ensure all checklists are completed before proceeding to the next stage. Document and photograph all quality deficiencies, rework items, and punch list observations and report these to the supervising architect or project manager. Follow up and verify that all identified deficiencies and punch list items are corrected completely and properly before sign-off. 3. Drawing & Design Coordination Study, review, and thoroughly understand all architectural drawings, specifications, and finish schedules assigned to the project before commencement of works. Assist in the review of shop drawings, material submittals, and product data sheets submitted by contractors and suppliers. Coordinate with the project’s structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical teams to identify and resolve clashes or conflicts with architectural elements. Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to the project architect or design team when site conditions require design clarification or additional details. Maintain an updated set of drawings on site at all times, including all approved revisions, design changes, and issued-for-construction (IFC) drawing sets. Assist in preparing as-built markups on architectural drawings as construction progresses to reflect actual installed conditions. 4. Site Safety & Housekeeping Observe and comply with all company and project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and site safety rules at all times. Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings and ensure all workers under supervision attend and understand the day’s safety requirements. Identify unsafe conditions related to finishing work activities — such as improper scaffolding for ceiling works, chemical handling for paints and adhesives, and electrical hazards near wet areas — and report these to the safety officer or project manager immediately. Ensure workers engaged in architectural and finishing works are equipped with appropriate PPE including dust masks, gloves, safety goggles, and safety shoes. Monitor and enforce proper housekeeping standards on site, ensuring work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of debris and hazardous materials. 5. Materials Monitoring & Resource Coordination Monitor daily consumption of architectural and finishing materials against approved quantities and project budgets. Prepare and submit material pull-out requests and material requisition forms for architectural and finishing materials needed on site. Ensure proper storage, protection, and handling of all architectural materials including tiles, paints, glass, and hardware to prevent damage or loss. Monitor material deliveries and coordinate with the admin or procurement team for timely replenishment of materials based on site progress. Record and report any material shortfalls, excess deliveries, damaged goods, or material substitution requests to the project manager. Verify and document material quantities consumed by subcontractors for billing and payment validation purposes. 6. Daily Reporting & Documentation Prepare and submit accurate daily site reports covering architectural and finishing works accomplished, manpower count, materials used, issues encountered, and planned activities for the following day. Maintain a detailed project site diary with photographic documentation of all construction activities, milestones, deficiencies, and significant events. Record all verbal instructions, design clarifications, and site decisions in writing with date, time, and parties involved. Assist in the preparation of weekly progress reports for the project manager covering architectural work status, quality findings, and upcoming activities. Compile and organize all project documents including approved submittals, inspection checklists, RFIs, and site instructions in an organized filing system. Assist in the preparation of the final punch list and project turnover documentation upon project completion. 7. Client & Stakeholder Coordination Assist in accompanying clients, consultants, and building officials during site visits and inspections and respond to queries about architectural works professionally and courteously. Communicate any client concerns, design change requests, or site observations to the project architect or project manager promptly for proper action.
