Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor day-to-day project activities related to marble and granite installation.
• Review approved shop drawings, material specifications, BOQs, and project requirements before execution.
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, site supervisors, engineers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project progress.
• Monitor site progress against project schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Coordinate with the factory and production team regarding material fabrication, cutting, finishing, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure proper installation of marble and granite flooring, wall cladding, staircases, countertops, vanity tops, and other stone works as per project requirements.
• Monitor manpower deployment, productivity, material utilization, and site resource requirements.
• Ensure materials delivered to the site meet approved specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, site discrepancies, and execution challenges in coordination with the concerned teams.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and coordinate inspections with consultants and main contractors.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, material requirements, and work completion updates.
• Coordinate material approvals, inspections, and work approvals with the relevant project stakeholders.
• Monitor project variations and additional works, ensuring proper documentation and approval before execution.
• Coordinate with the QS and Cost Control teams regarding quantities, variations, wastage, and project cost implications.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, site safety requirements, and project quality standards.
• Maintain project records, site instructions, inspection requests, and handover documentation.
• Report project delays, technical concerns, and resource requirements to the Project Manager or Operations Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project execution, preferably in marble and granite, stone installation, construction, or fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of marble and granite installation methods, including flooring, wall cladding, staircases, countertops, and dry-fix systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
• Experience in site coordination, manpower planning, quality control, and project progress monitoring.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and ERP systems is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities and work under project deadlines.
