Project Control Manager - EPC Power Plant Project

WE ARE HIRING | PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER – EPC POWER PROJECT

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (initially), followed by rotational assignment in Kirkuk, Iraq

Industry: Power Generation | EPC | Energy Infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to join a major Power Plant EPC Project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing project planning, scheduling, cost control, progress reporting, and risk management for large-scale EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project controls activities covering planning, scheduling, cost management, and reporting.
• Manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow, and earned value performance.
• Identify schedule delays, project risks, and potential cost overruns.
• Oversee progress reporting and coordinate with engineering consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Support change management, delay analysis, and extension-of-time claims.
• Lead the planning, cost control, and document control teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of relevant project controls experience.
• At least 5 years leading project controls for an EPC contractor.
• Proven experience in EPC projects exceeding USD 200 million within power generation, oil & gas, or major infrastructure.
• EPC contractor experience is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in Primavera P6, earned value management, cost forecasting, and project reporting .
• Experience in brownfield projects, shutdowns, and tie-ins.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Middle East/Iraq project experience is preferred.
• PMP / AACE certification is an advantage.
• Must be willing to work on rotation in Iraq.
