Project Accountant (Construction)
GMA Construction Group is seeking a Project Accountant to join our expanding team! As a key member of the corporate finance team, the accountant will report to the corporate controller and oversee financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining cost control. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and clients. The company is looking for candidates with at least 5+ years of project or cost accounting with a construction company . Responsibilities: Financial Management Manage project budgets and financial records. Monitor project expenses and revenue. Prepare and analyze financial reports. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Cost Control Track project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment. Identify cost overruns and implement cost-saving measures. Collaborate with project managers to develop cost estimates for new projects. Invoicing and Billing Prepare and submit client invoices accurately and on time. Verify subcontractor and vendor invoices for accuracy. Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve billing issues. Cash Flow Management Manage project cash flow to meet financial obligations. Forecast cash needs and coordinate with the finance department. Financial Analysis Perform financial analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations to optimize project profitability. Documentation Maintain organized project financial records. Ensure proper documentation of financial transactions and project-related paperwork.
