The role involves managing the full software development life cycle, including project planning, testing, and deployment, while ensuring the timely delivery of bug fixes and system updates. The position will perform system administration for enterprise systems, manage data integration, optimize queries, develop reports, and support the maintenance of data integrations and APIs. Project management responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to align system functionality and requirements to complete projects that support organizational goals, scope, and timelines. Job Responsibility Description Software Development and Implementation Design, develop and maintain custom reports, software solutions and databases based on user and technical requirements Create project and implementation plans to guide development and deployment Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues, ensuring timely delivery of bug fixes and patches Collaborate with stakeholders for testing, quality assurance, and ongoing enhancements to maintain system integrity and performance System Analysis/Administration Test and evaluate third-party software for performance and compatibility Analyze and troubleshoot complex systems to identify and resolve errors Collaborate with vendors to define system requirements, recommend enhancements, and resolve technical issues. Perform security and system administration for the district's multi-user, data-driven systems Ensure that district and mandated data requirements are met through ongoing analysis Assist with maintaining various environments which may include databases, application servers, and web servers Ensure the security and integrity of production systems by testing patches and releases before applying them Data Integrations Design, develop, and maintain data integrations and APIs for internal and third-party applications Ensure integrations align with district needs and requirements Create and optimize reports, queries, views, and SSIS packages to support integrations Support the maintenance and monitoring of scheduled data integrations Professional Development Evaluate current application development practices and emerging technologies to identify best practices and solutions for data integration and software development Assess new approaches while considering district needs, rapid deployment, data security, maintenance, and capacity planning Project Management Collaborate with management and stakeholders on software development and implementation projects, ensuring alignment on technical requirements, project schedules, test plans, and implementation Training and Documentation Develop technical and user documentation for information systems and in-house developed software Train end-users and document IT-related workflows and system procedures, ensuring comprehensive guidance in the event of employee absence Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Acceptable demonstration of acceptable education and/or experience will be at the sole discretion of the District.
