Program Director – Insurance Technology

Auckland, New Zealand | Hybrid

LTM is looking for an experienced Program Director / Program Delivery Executive to lead a major enterprise technology program within the insurance sector.

This is a senior customer-facing delivery role for someone who knows how to take ownership of complex, multi-workstream programs and drive them from initiation through to successful delivery. You’ll bring together strong insurance industry knowledge, enterprise software implementation experience and commercial delivery discipline, while operating comfortably with senior customer stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Own end-to-end delivery across complex enterprise programs, ensuring delivery remains on time, within scope and budget.
• Lead multiple workstreams including platform implementation, systems integration, data migration and business change.
• Establish strong program governance, milestones, exit criteria and customer acceptance processes.
• Manage program risks, dependencies, scope and change proactively before they impact delivery.
• Drive faster time-to-value and successful adoption of SaaS-based solutions.
• Lead and coordinate global, cross-functional teams including project managers, offshore delivery teams, SI partners and customer resources.
• Take ownership of program financials including budgets, forecasting, cost management and milestone-based commercial outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders including CIO, CTO and COO-level executives.
• Lead steering committees, manage escalations and confidently navigate difficult delivery conversations.
• Use modern AI tools and automation to improve program reporting, governance, risk management and delivery efficiency.

What we're looking for

• 10–15 years' experience delivering complex enterprise technology programs.
• At least 5 years in senior program or delivery leadership.
• Strong experience within the insurance or insurance technology sector.
• Knowledge of Life & Pensions, Property & Casualty / General Insurance, or other insurance specialty lines.
• Experience delivering Policy Administration Systems or other major insurance technology platforms highly regarded.
• Strong enterprise software / SaaS implementation background.
• Demonstrated experience across program governance, milestone management, scope control, risk management and change management.
• Experience managing complex global delivery environments involving offshore teams, SI partners and customer teams.
• Strong commercial understanding including budgets, forecasting, program P&L and delivery costs.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience presenting to senior customer leadership and running program steering committees.
• Practical understanding of how AI and automation can improve program delivery would be highly regarded.

Certification

You will hold at least one of the following:

• PMP
• PgMP
• PRINCE2 Practitioner

Experience with SAFe, Agile or hybrid delivery models is advantageous.
