Production Supervisor

We are seeking an Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor to support and lead production operations during the afternoon shift. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and plays a key part in maintaining efficiency, safety, and workflow continuity across shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee afternoon shift production activities and staffing.
• Provide new‑hire and ongoing safety/production training.
• Coordinate shift priorities and deliverables with the Operations Manager.
• Maintain workflow processes and ensure smooth handoff between shifts.
• Identify and correct process abnormalities or inefficiencies.
• Track and report shift performance metrics.
• Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Shut down or restart equipment when required for emergencies or maintenance.
• Conduct timely performance evaluations and administer corrective action per company policy.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Solid organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes; investment casting experience preferred.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Epicor a plus).
• Ability to collaborate with different departments and support continuous improvement.

Education & Experience

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing management or Production Control experience.
• 1–3 years of supervisory experience overseeing 5+ employees.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Lift 40 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Stand, kneel, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Work in an environment with noise, dust, fumes, and smoke within OSHA limits.

Pay: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
