Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Supervisor with at least 3+ years of experience in paint or coatings manufacturing to oversee our daily production operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that batch mixing, dispersing, tinting, filling, and packaging processes run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management & Operations: Oversee daily batch production schedules for solvent-based and water-based paints. Supervise floor operators in raw material charging, high-speed dispersion, milling, tinting, and packaging. Monitor batch cycle times and minimize material loss or waste during processing. Quality Control & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Ensure strict adherence to formulation formulas and quality standards (e.g., viscosity, shade matching, dispersion grind, pH, density). Coordinate with the QC/Lab team to obtain batch approvals before packaging. Maintain clean batch records and production logs for traceability.

EHS (Environment, Health, & Safety):

Enforce strict chemical handling, flammable material safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines. Ensure proper operation of ventilation, dust extraction, and spill containment systems. Conduct safety briefings (toolbox talks) and ensure safe hazardous waste disposal. Team Leadership & Equipment Maintenance: Manage shift handovers, assign tasks, and track operator attendance and performance. Perform routine checks on machinery (mixers, sand mills, filling machines, pumps) and report maintenance issues promptly. Identify process bottlenecks and suggest continuous improvement (KAIZEN/5S) initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Minimum 3+ years of hands-on supervisory/lead experience in paint, coatings, inks, or chemical manufacturing. Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Production, or a related field (or equivalent practical industry experience).

Technical Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of liquid paint manufacturing processes (dispersion, milling, letdown, color tinting, strain-filling). Familiarity with hazardous chemical safety, solvent handling, and EHS protocols.

Key Competencies:

Strong leadership and team management abilities. Problem-solving skills under tight production deadlines.

Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, ERP software/production logging). Preferred /

Nice-to-Have Skills Hands-on experience with industrial color-matching techniques. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 (Safety & Environmental Standards).
