Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Plans, coordinates, schedules and controls all manufacturing and production processes to meet customer demand.
• Maintain uninterrupted production, customer service, material flow, product quality and quantity.
• Organizes day-to-day operation and determines work practices and procedures to optimize utilization of resources.
• Monitoring manufacturing of customer orders for timely shipment and workforce capacity analysis.
• Diagnosing manufacturing problems and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
• Understand and follow the SOP’s pertaining to the specific area.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
• Developing a project plan for implementing improvements and monitoring the new process to ensure it works as intended.
• Drive continuous improvement in labor costs through waste reduction, production efficiency, and operations improvement in existing equipment or with proposals and justification for new equipment.
• Communicates and coordinate with the incoming and outgoing shift supervisors to ensure all critical information is passed on.
• Develop all team members and maintain the shift training matrix to ensure depth and cross trained employees for flexibility.

Skills:

• Open on Degree
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques; Green or Black Belt certification a plus
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong computer proficiency
• Strong data analysis & reporting skills
• Requires good understanding of machine shop technology, polishing and assembly functions.
• Self-confident and secure to be able to identify and correct problems through good troubleshooting techniques.

Pay: $75,700.00 - $98,100.00 per year
