Duties and Responsibilities Regular Duties Accountable for meeting production expectations through safe operation in accordance with established procedures and within specified process setting. Communicating production goals to production personnel in area of responsibility, and provides resources and motivation to meet or exceed goals. Analyzing staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance to production schedules and budget for all production process by monitoring labour productivity and allocated plantilla per line. Hands-on supervision of daily operations including workflow scheduling, supervision of production personnel, monitoring productivity and quality, production process troubleshooting and all other activities required to ensure on-time delivery and 100% customer satisfaction. Verifying and reviewing work results of production personnel. Reviews documentation, including batch records, logbooks, cleaning records, and other production records, for accuracy and completion. Establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Studying methods for producing goods and services at the least possible cost, implementing cost and waste reductions programs. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs. Facilitating corrections and corrective actions to address and prevent recurrence of deviations and non-conformances within process control points. Ensures that all personnel and employee under his/her leadership/responsibility are provided appropriate direction, leadership, guidance, support, and training to enable the advancement of their knowledge and experience in the operations of the overall plant energy and related mechanical systems environment. Assumes responsibility for the performance of employees in the area of responsibility by spot checking work in the area, evaluating the quality of the work performed, and coordinating with the Section Manager and HR Manager to develop management tools to evaluate personnel and trade related performance. Enforces Company rules and policies regarding employee conduct by advising all assigned employees about the Company’s rules and policies on employee conduct, issuing verbal warnings and written reprimands for violations and recommending progressive disciplinary action to the Section Manager and HR Manager as necessary. Facilitates a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. Quality/ Safety / Environmental / Risk Management Supervises production activities and processes to ensure that products produced and services rendered are of the best quality and safety by employing effective supervision on the application of safety and quality principles. Directly monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and safety requirements are within specifications. Supports the Quality group during investigations. Documents and investigates quality issues that occur and compiles information and provides recommendations for improvement for review by department manager and management. People Management Responsible for training and on boarding new/transferred associates as well as workforce engagement, recognition, development and coaching, developing personal growth opportunities. Reviews and assesses the skill set of each employee as it relates to the job requirements. Conducts timely performance reviews, and assists in the management of individual development plans. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources and enforcing safety practices, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedure. Supervises and provides coaching to team leads and production personnel, including coaching IPIC’s core values. Assist with production talent development and engagement within the departments. Applies disciplinary actions as needed. Customer Focus / Innovation / Management Represents the production department as a decision maker in the absence of the Production Manager. Serves as focal point of contract to coordinate all projects, tests and process improvement work in the assigned process area. Supports Client/Plant customer relationship by meeting businesses objectives and by understanding how operational performance impacts internal/external customers. Coordinate with equipment and process teams and ensure compliance to all protocols and maintain product quality and safety. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, audits, establishing personal networks, benchmarking best practices, participating in professional discussion. Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests.
