# Production Supervisor **GNG Group** · Normanton · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Role Purpose As a Production Supervisor, you'll lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of our production team, making sure we produce high-quality products efficiently and meet our targets and deadlines. You'll organise schedules and labour, keep a close eye on quality, help drive out waste and downtime, and support, develop and manage your team, all while maintaining a safe, organised working environment and keeping cost in mind. This will be working our late shift which is 2.30 - 10.30pm Monday - Friday. Key Responsibilities General Role ● Workflow: Organise daily schedules, assign tasks to team members and manage labour resources to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). ● Quality control: Monitor production output against specifications, conduct inspections and implement corrective actions for any non-conformance. ● Process improvement: Use modern manufacturing methodologies to identify inefficiencies and reduce waste or downtime. ● Reporting: Compile and analyse production data to provide regular progress updates during the day and at each start-of-shift meeting. ● People management: Manage team members day to day, including performance, training, holidays and absence. ● Cost control: Consider cost in every part of daily working life. Supervision ● Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production department, ensuring efficient and high-quality production. ● Train and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and productivity. ● Monitor production schedules and ensure that targets and deadlines are met. ● Report the current state against plan at the daily meeting. ● Report scrap to the Materials section so that stock can be handled. ● Work with Procurement to make sure parts are ordered in time and at the correct stock levels, so as not to stop production or hold too much stock. ● Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines. People Management: Absence Recording ● Record and maintain accurate records of employee absences, including sickness, general absences and other time-off requests. ● Monitor attendance patterns and identify any concerning trends or issues. ● Communicate with employees to gather necessary information regarding absences and reasons for time off. ● Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to attendance and time-off requests. People Management: Return-to-Work Interviews ● Conduct return-to-work interviews with employees following their absence to gather information about their wellbeing and ensure a smooth transition back to work. ● Address any concerns or issues related to the absence, providing necessary support and resources to help employees reintegrate into the workplace. ● Document return-to-work discussions, including any necessary follow-up actions or adjustments. ● Collaborate with HR and management to identify patterns or recurring absences that may require further attention or intervention. People Management: Performance Management ● Evaluate the performance of staff, providing regular feedback, coaching and recognition. ● Identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate training or corrective actions. ● Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, professionalism and high-quality workmanship. Administrative Tasks ● Maintain relevant documentation, such as production records. ● Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of tasks. ● Produce Standard Operating Procedures in collaboration with the Compliance Manager.
