Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Overview

The Second Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations during the assigned shift at the Gallatin, Tennessee facility. This position provides leadership to production personnel while ensuring that safety, quality, productivity, and customer service objectives are achieved. The Production Supervisor works closely with the Plant Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain regulatory and quality standards, and support efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all second-shift production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop production employees while fostering a positive and accountable work environment.
• Monitor production schedules and workflow to meet quality, productivity, and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing, equipment, and quality issues.
• Promote and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Train employees on equipment, processes, safety standards, and work instructions.
• Maintain accurate production records and inventory controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals and customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing, batch processing, coatings, colorants, specialty chemicals, or related industries is a plus.
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management system preferred.
