This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for ensuring we deliver safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest standards. You’ll lead the production team, manage schedules and resources, solve operational challenges and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and performance. The Role You’ll be responsible for: Leading and developing our production teams and Chargehands. Planning production, resources and capacity to meet customer deadlines. Driving productivity, quality and continuous improvement. Identifying and resolving production bottlenecks and technical issues. Managing labour utilisation, overtime and production costs. Overseeing machinery, maintenance and equipment requirements. Taking the lead on health and safety across production. Working closely with customers, suppliers and senior management. Monitoring performance and turning production data into practical improvements. About You You’ll be an experienced manufacturing leader who is equally comfortable on the shop floor and discussing performance with senior management. You’ll ideally bring: A recognised Engineering qualification. Significant production management experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of fabrication, machining and general engineering processes. Experience leading multidiscipline production teams. Strong production planning and resource management skills. A practical understanding of manufacturing health and safety. Commercial awareness and an understanding of production costs and efficiency. A proactive, solutions-focused leadership style.
