Production Manager

Position Summary:

The Production Manager oversees daily production activities, workforce planning, production scheduling, workflow optimization, inventory coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position plays a key role in developing and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles to improve productivity, reduce waste, increase efficiency, and support the company's long-term operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide leadership to approximately 30 manufacturing employees across production operations.
• Oversee the day-to-day manufacturing of wildlife tracking devices and related products and ensure production activities meet established quality, productivity, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Establish clear expectations for production employees and ensure employees follow established work instructions, manufacturing procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Identify and address production issues, bottlenecks, equipment concerns, and workflow interruptions in a timely manner.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling.
• Experience implementing or utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn and utilize manufacturing, ERP, inventory, and production management systems.
