Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain production schedules based on project priorities, delivery dates, material availability, and factory capacity.
• Prepare production work orders, cutting lists, nesting layouts and material requirements from approved drawings.
• Coordinate daily production priorities with the Factory Manager and supervisors, ensuring clear instructions and achievable targets.
• Monitor fabrication progress across cutting, machining, fit-up, welding, surface preparation and painting.
• Track material availability and coordinate with procurement and stores to prevent production interruptions.
• Identify bottlenecks, investigate delays and propose actions to improve output and meet delivery commitments.
• Monitor machine utilization, maintenance schedule, material consumption and production output.
• Improve fabrication methods, factory workflow and material utilisation to reduce waste and rework.
• Coordinate with engineering to resolve drawing queries and fabrication issues.
• Work with QA/QC to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, welding procedures and inspection requirements.
• Maintain production records, material traceability and progress reports, highlighting risks to delivery dates.
• Support safe working practices, good housekeeping and continuous improvement on the production floor. Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Knowledge and experience with the Odoo / ERP system.
• Familiarity with Material Requests (MRs)
• Familiarity with steel structural raw materials and consumables.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and proficiency in CAD software.
• Experience in preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and cutting schedules.
• Ability to coordinate with the Stores and Procurement teams and monitor material flow to meet production requirements.
• Experience in monitoring and controlling the actual consumption of raw materials and consumables against budget.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Quality Control (QC) procedures and requirements.
• Good understanding of steel structural fabrication, equipment, and related components.
• Basic Knowledge with HSE ( while we are looking for separate HSE officer)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing.
• Strong ability to interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, dimensions and tolerances.
• Practical knowledge of steel cutting, drilling, machining, fit-up, welding and painting processes.
• Experience in production planning, material coordination and monitoring factory performance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD; experience with Autodesk Inventor would be an advantage.
• Experience with ERP or production planning software is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English and the ability to coordinate with a multicultural workforce.
• UAE steel fabrication experience is preferred.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
