We work with a handful of great repeat clients plus a steady flow of custom one-off jobs. Right now, the owner handles all project coordination — and it’s time to change that. We’re hiring a Production Coordinator / Junior Project Manager to run day-to-day shop operations, keep jobs moving, and supervise the floor — so the owner can focus on sales and growing the business. This is a hands-on, growth-track role for someone who knows shop life, likes being organized, and wants to step into more responsibility over time. What You’ll Do Coordinate and track jobs from intake through completion Create daily and weekly production schedules Supervise two shop floor workers Make sure materials, tooling, and machines are ready for each job Keep jobs on track and flag issues early Perform basic quality checks before jobs go out Communicate job status internally and with clients (no sales required) Help improve shop workflow and organization Support the addition of a second CNC machine as we grow What This Role Is (and Isn’t) ✅ Hands-on shop coordination ✅ Real responsibility and visibility ✅ Clear growth path into Project Manager / Operations ❌ Not a desk-only job ❌ Not a corporate PM role ❌ Not a sales position (at least initially) Ideal Candidate 2–4 years in a CNC, fabrication, millwork, or manufacturing shop CNC router experience Exposure to CAD/CAM workflows (We use a mix of Rhino/Fusion/vCarve Pro/AutoCad. Ideal candidate will have some knowledge of these packages.) Comfortable supervising a small team Able to read drawings and understand basic tolerances Organized, reliable, and calm under pressure Good communicator — straight talk, no drama Someone who wants to grow with a small business Pay & Bonuses Base Salary: 1099 Contract Position $60,000–$70,000/year (depending on experience) Performance Bonuses (Quarterly): Earn bonuses based on shop performance: On-time job completion Low rework/scrap Efficient scheduling and throughput Typical bonus range: $2,000–$6,000/year, paid quarterly Growth Opportunity This role is designed to grow as the business grows.
