We are looking for a highly organized, skeptical, and detail-oriented Product QA & Beta Operations Specialist to help us identify product weaknesses, validate important data and outputs, manage beta testing, and determine whether the platform is ready for users. The Role This is not a passive testing position. You will be expected to actively challenge the product, test complete user journeys, identify defects and inconsistencies, and clearly communicate what must be corrected before launch. The role combines hands-on product testing with beta-user coordination. You will work directly with the Founder/Product Owner, development team, technical advisors, and selected beta users. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between structured testing, financial and data validation, user-experience review, defect management, and beta operations. Primary Responsibilities Product Testing Test the platform across desktop and mobile environments. Test complete user journeys from account creation through the platform’s principal functions. Evaluate functionality, usability, navigation, responsiveness, and consistency. Test different user roles, permissions, account states, and access levels. Identify broken workflows, unclear instructions, inconsistent behavior, and missing information. Test new features, updates, integrations, and bug fixes before release. Perform regression testing to ensure that changes do not create new problems. Test unusual, incomplete, and edge-case scenarios. Data and Output Validation Review important property, financial, and analytical outputs for accuracy and consistency. Independently verify selected calculations and data points. Identify conflicting, incomplete, stale, or potentially misleading information. Confirm that assumptions and outputs are presented clearly to users. Document repeatable test cases for important calculations and platform functions. Escalate issues that could create financial, reputational, or user-confidence risks. AI-Assisted Feature Testing Evaluate the accuracy, relevance, reliability, and consistency of AI-assisted features. Test a range of ordinary, unusual, incomplete, and contradictory user requests. Identify incorrect assumptions, unsupported responses, repetition, dead ends, and failed handoffs. Confirm that appropriate situations are escalated for human review. Document problematic responses so they can be reproduced and corrected. Defect Management Create clear and reproducible bug reports. Include screenshots, recordings, affected workflows, severity, expected behavior, and actual behavior. Maintain an organized and current defect log. Prioritize issues based on user impact, financial risk, and launch importance. Follow reported issues through development, correction, and retesting. Distinguish launch-blocking defects from lower-priority improvements. Provide concise quality updates to the Founder and development team. Beta Operations Help organize and administer a controlled beta-testing program. Assist with beta-user onboarding, instructions, account setup, and support. Monitor participation and identify where users become confused or abandon workflows. Gather feedback through structured interviews, surveys, support conversations, and user observations. Separate genuine product problems from individual preferences. Convert user feedback into organized and actionable recommendations. Track recurring issues, user reactions, and launch risks. Follow up with beta participants when additional clarification or testing is needed. Launch Readiness Maintain a launch-readiness checklist covering critical platform functions. Confirm that priority workflows have been tested and documented. Verify the correction of high-risk defects. Clearly communicate unresolved risks and their likely consequences. Recommend whether individual features are ready for release, require limitations, or should be delayed. Help establish repeatable QA procedures for continued use after the initial engagement. Required Qualifications Experience in software quality assurance, product testing, beta operations, product operations, implementation, or a closely related role. Demonstrated ability to test complete workflows rather than isolated screens. Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to write clear defect reports that developers can reproduce and act upon. Experience working with web-based applications, SaaS platforms, or consumer technology products. Comfort working with spreadsheets, calculations, and structured data. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines. Willingness to question assumptions and raise concerns directly. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical team members. Preferred Qualifications Experience testing AI-enabled, fintech, proptech, marketplace, subscription, or data-driven products. Familiarity with residential real estate, investing, lending, financial analysis, or transaction workflows. Experience helping operate a closed-beta program. Experience testing user permissions, account access, payments, APIs, or third-party integrations. Familiarity with bug-tracking platforms, browser developer tools, test-management systems, session-replay tools, or automated testing. Charleston-area availability for periodic in-person testing and working sessions. What Success Looks Like By the end of the initial engagement: Critical user journeys have been systematically tested. Significant defects and inconsistencies have been identified and documented. Important calculations and data outputs have been independently validated. Development receives clear, reproducible, and properly prioritized defect reports. Beta users are organized, supported, and producing useful feedback. High-risk problems are identified before reaching paying users. The Founder receives an honest, evidence-based launch-readiness assessment. Stallion ONE has a repeatable QA process that can continue as the company grows. Engagement Structure This is initially an eight-week independent-contractor assignment beginning October 5, 2026. The workload is expected to begin at approximately 10–15 hours per week and may increase to 20–25 hours during intensive beta and launch-readiness testing. Depending on performance and company needs, the engagement may be extended or potentially develop into a longer-term role. An extension or conversion is possible but is not guaranteed. The selected candidate will be required to sign a confidentiality and nondisclosure agreement before receiving access to the platform, proprietary materials, internal workflows, or detailed product information.
