About the position To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Product Manager (m/f/d) who will be responsible for the strategic development, scaling, and commercialization of our digital platform WIRE Mind. WIRE Mind is a digital platform for industrial wire harness manufacturing that seamlessly transforms ECAD data into production-ready manufacturing information. The solution enables customers to automatically process, enrich, and prepare wire harness data for use on Komax production systems. By integrating engineering, manufacturing, and ERP data, WIRE Mind provides the foundation for an end-to-end digital process, from the initial wiring diagram to the finished wire harness. As a central platform for data management, production preparation, and future automation applications, WIRE Mind plays a key role in driving digital transformation. This position leverages the synergies within our Smart Factory environment and the expertise of our teams in Dunningen, Nuremberg, and the United States. A strong customer focus is an essential part of the role, ensuring that customer requirements and processes are effectively translated into innovative product solutions. Your responsibilities - Identify and define new product features and service offerings based on a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs - Collaborate closely with customers to capture, validate, and prioritize requirements (Voice of Customer) - Define the product roadmap together with the Product Owner and ensure its agile management and execution, taking ownership of the product throughout its entire lifecycle - Work closely with the Product Owner and development team to maximize customer value, ensure product quality, and achieve timely market delivery - Develop successful and sustainable business and pricing models for the assigned products in alignment with key stakeholders - Contribute to the global portfolio development of Komax Smart Factory and Digital Services solutions - Actively collaborate with the sales organization to strengthen customer engagement and ensure a continuous focus on enhancing customer value - Gather and interpret market intelligence to gain a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitors, their offerings, and growth opportunities - Monitor digital solutions and competing products available in the market to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for differentiation - Responsibility for release management, documentation, training, and product lifecycle management - Actively drive and support all go-to-market, sales, and enablement activities for WIRE Mind to ensure successful customer adoption, market penetration, and achievement of revenue and growth targets - Present products, services, and service business models to a variety of internal and external stakeholder groups Actively participate in Digital Services meetings and take ownership of initiatives aimed at enhancing and expanding the digital services business within the Komax Group - Your profile - Successfully completed degree in engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification - At least 5 years of experience in product management or closely related fields, preferably including 3 or more years in software and/or digital services within an industrial environment - Proven experience with digital enterprise products in industrial settings - In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with ECAD systems, preferably EPLAN, Zuken E3, or WSCAD - Experience in system implementation and integration projects - Solid understanding of technical aspects such as software development processes, software architecture, system landscapes, and interfaces - Experience conducting market analyses to identify trends, customer needs, competitive activities, and growth opportunities - Knowledge of developing and optimizing business models for digital products and services, ideally including experience with recurring revenue and subscription-based pricing models and strategies - Fluent communication skills in both English and German, written and spoken - Proficient in the use of standard office applications and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Atlassian suite) Willingness to travel nationally and internationally - Your soft skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation abilities, and a confident, engaging communication style - Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills - Results-driven mindset with a proven ability to execute and deliver - Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders - Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on achieving business objectives and delivering high-quality results - Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development - Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to challenge assumptions, evaluate information critically, and make well-founded decisions Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously, organize and prioritize tasks, make sound and timely decisions, and solve problems independently - Our offer - A position of responsibility with significant scope for initiative and impact - A dynamic and international working environment - The opportunity to contribute to a strategically important digital platform - A workplace equipped with state-of-the-art technology and tools - Flexible working models - 30 days of annual vacation - Company-sponsored pension scheme - Supplementary private health insurance - Employer contribution towards childcare expenses - Attractive bicycle and e-bike leasing program Individual training and professional development opportunities - The preferred workplace for this position is our Gilching location.
