About the Team
Workday Financial Management is the system of record for finance teams at thousands of organizations worldwide, and we are reinventing how enterprise finance gets done. The Financial Integrations team sits where Workday Financials meets everything around it. We build and own the Workday-delivered integrations that connect Workday Financials to the wider ecosystem our customers depend on: the software a hotel group uses to source goods and pay its suppliers, a retailer uses to plan merchandise and move it through warehouses and stores, a restaurant uses to ring up and reconcile every order at the point of sale. Every integration we ship makes Workday a more complete answer in the industries we serve. It also turns work that used to be custom-built into solutions our customers simply switch on.
We are also changing how integrations get built, using AI to generate and validate field mappings, stand integrations up, and keep them current as file formats and regulations change. Integration development is repetitive, full of patterns, and unforgiving of small errors. That makes it one of the best places in Financials to put AI to work.
Our team promotes Workday's core values, which put Employees first. We offer flexible work schedules, support you in shaping the career path you want, encourage balance and wellbeing, and are proud to champion equal opportunities for everyone.
About the Role
As a Product Manager on the Financial Integrations team, you will build and own integrations across our suite of Financials products. You will work closely with our development teams, our customers, and the implementers who deploy what we ship. This role exists because an integration is often the difference between a solution a customer can readily use and a project a customer has to finish building themselves.
A large part of your work is the portfolio of productized integrations with strategic industry partners. These partnerships open doors in the industries Workday is investing in, and the integration is frequently what brings us from a signed partnership to a solution our field teams can sell. You will work directly with those partners and with the Industry Ecosystems team, from design through certification and launch, and you will support what you ship after it goes live.
This is a hands-on role. As the voice of our customers, you will learn their needs and the details specific to their industry and region, set a clear direction with requirements people can act on, and work across Workday, our customers and our partners to deliver it. You will also help shape how the team builds, by improving the framework and the AI capabilities that let us deliver and support integrations faster and more consistently.
Responsibilities
- Build and own Financials integrations. Set the direction and roadmap for your integration portfolio, including the technical capabilities underneath it. Shape solution design around customer requirements, technical architecture, and the business outcome the integration is meant to produce. Own what you ship, including its ongoing support and improvement.
- Own the partner integration portfolio. Define, prioritize and deliver productized integrations with our strategic industry partners. Turn partner file specifications and API contracts into clear functional requirements, sequence them against partnership and sales timelines, and ship them as integrations customers configure rather than build.
- Engage partners and the ecosystem. Work directly with strategic industry partners, implementers and the Industry Ecosystems team through design, build, certification and launch. Hold partner specifications to a clear standard, keep joint builds on schedule, and define the support model that keeps each integration healthy after it ships.
- Make integration development faster and more repeatable. Own our new integration development framework. Measure it against what it was built for, including development efficiency, deployment cost, and how easily customers and implementers can tailor what we deliver. Then drive the improvements that close the gaps, so the framework works across the full range of integrations we support and not just one kind.
- Apply AI across the integration lifecycle. Use AI to generate and check field mappings, speed up build and deployment, guide implementers through customization, and track changes to file formats and regulations. The goal is to deliver and support more integrations without a matching increase in effort. You will also define how we review AI-generated output before it reaches a customer.
- Collaborate across Financials product teams. Learn the business context behind each integration, including what the product is trying to accomplish and how customers actually use it, so the integrations you build help those products succeed rather than sitting beside them.
- Support the delivery team. Act as the product partner to engineering, QA and UX through design, development, testing, release and maintenance.
- Communicate with leadership and the field. Turn roadmap, delivery status and partner readiness into clear, concise updates for product leadership, field teams and customers. Lead technical discussions with internal and external audiences, and represent the product area in the Workday community and at Workday events.
About You
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in product management, defining and delivering SaaS and/or cloud-based enterprise software products or features.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building scalable integrations between enterprise software applications and external systems, including working knowledge of integration platforms, REST APIs and SOAP technologies
- Experience working directly with external software vendors, technology partners or implementation partners on a shared technical deliverable
- Experience collaborating with developers, QA and UX designers to deliver products that produce clear results for customers
Other Qualifications
- Cross-team collaboration. You work well with people from different functions toward a shared goal. You understand how teams operate, communicate clearly across them, work through disagreements, and bring different skills and viewpoints together to solve complicated problems. In this role that means aligning engineering, partner, go-to-market and neighboring product teams around one plan.
- Customer advocacy. You represent customer interests inside the company. You learn what customers need, how they work, and what they are telling us through feedback and support cases, and you carry that into product decisions. When an integration is causing customers pain, you are the person who makes sure it gets fixed rather than filed.
- Research. You gather and evaluate information carefully before you commit. You talk to customers, read the file specifications and API contracts yourself, study how other products solve the same problem, and use data to shape requirements rather than guess at them.
- Stakeholder management. You identify the people a decision affects, understand what they need and expect, communicate with them consistently, and work through conflicts as they come up. You can be the Workday side of a partnership: setting expectations, following up on specifications, and keeping a joint build moving when the other side has different priorities.
- Decision making. You choose a course of action from several options by weighing the likely outcome of each. You are comfortable making clear decisions with incomplete information, you understand the risk you are accepting, and you balance judgment with evidence. You manage several projects at once without losing track of any of them.
- Strategic thinking. You look past the request in front of you to the pattern behind it. You notice when a set of one-off requests points to something reusable, and you turn repeated custom work into something configurable that other teams and customers can build on.
- Hands-on with AI. You have used large language model or agent tooling in your own product work, whether prototyping, assessing output quality, or shipping something with it. You have a view on where AI genuinely helps with a data-transformation problem and where it does not.
- Nice to have. Experience with corporate finance or accounting at multinational organizations, or exposure to e-invoicing, tax compliance or statutory reporting.
You'll be a great fit if
- You like shipping integrations that work, and you enjoy getting into file specifications, field mappings and API contracts. You believe that level of detail is what separates an integration that works from one that almost does.
- You experiment with AI tooling on your own and want a domain where it has obvious, measurable value.
- You learn quickly, pay attention to detail, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences alike, and enjoy solving difficult problems in a fast-moving environment.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
