The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, promoting product solutions, support project specifications, and building strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, developers and suppliers. The incumbent will also support product portfolio development, market intelligence gathering, and new product introductions to achieve sales and profitability targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong product management experience within the building materials industry, with flooring product knowledge being highly desirable. Key Responsibilities - Drive sales growth and market penetration for assigned product categories. - Develop and maintain relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, developers and end-users. - Promote products and support project specifications to secure business opportunities. - Identify market trends, customer needs, and new product opportunities. - Coordinate with suppliers on product positioning, training and promotional activities. - Conduct product presentations and training for internal and external stakeholders. - Monitor sales performance, market activities, and product profitability. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or engineering related disciplines. - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, product marketing, specification sales, or related commercial functions. - Experience in the building materials, construction products, architectural products, interior finishing or related industries. - Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities. - Experience working with architects, consultants, contractors, developers, and project stakeholders. - Flooring industry experience or building products knowledge is highly preferred, including carpet tiles, vinyl flooring, raised access flooring, timber flooring, rubber flooring or other interior finishing materials. - Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented. - Good understanding of specification selling and project sales processes. - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
