Summary: The Nice residential security solutions Product Line Manager will lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the portfolio, with a deep emphasis on residential security solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance market needs, customer demands, and business goals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with sales teams and partners on forecasting and market sizing and possess technical expertise to work closely with engineering and manufacturing partners on product development. The role involves full lifecycle product management, driving innovation while ensuring that products align with both market opportunities and revenue objectives. Location: 5919 Sea Otter Place, Suite 100, Carlsbad, CA 92010 (fully onsite) Salary range: $120,000.00 to $135,000 annually, depending on experience. Primary Responsibilities: - Own the strategic direction and roadmap for the residential security product line by defining goals and objectives and translate them into actionable plans. - Own the P&L for the product line, setting financial targets and tracking performance against them. - Define product specifications, features, and timelines based on customer needs, competitive analysis, and technology trends to set direction for new product development and market introduction. - Drive decisions on product phasing, upgrades, and discontinuations based on ROI analysis, continuously assessing product portfolio, profitability, and lifecycle management, adjusting strategies to maximize portfolio investments. - Establish margin targets and pricing for residential security products in collaboration with sales, finance, and engineering teams. - Set and monitor targets for product adoption, revenue, and market share, adjusting strategies based on real-time performance data. - Work collaboratively with manufacturing partners and internal engineering teams to guide the development of new products. - Oversee the complete product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring that product updates and enhancements meet market demands and maximize profitability. - Regularly conduct market assessments and utilize data-driven market sizing strategies to refine product positioning and identify growth segments. - Establish specific targets for market penetration and revenue growth, providing a clear path to achieve revenue, margin, and profitability goals. - Partner closely with sales teams to assess market demand, develop accurate forecasting models, and establish clear KPIs around sales velocity, win rates, and market share expansion. - Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans in collaboration with sales and marketing that include pricing, positioning, and promotional strategies. - Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, customer preferences, and technology advancements to inform product decisions and identify new market opportunities. - Lead cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, R&D, and supply chain to ensure alignment on product strategies and execution plans. - Serve as a key liaison between regional teams, global stakeholders, and external partners. - Identify synergies and opportunities for partnerships across Nice business units, brands, and product offerings as well as opportunities for external partnerships. - Assess market conditions, develop accurate forecasts, and align product strategies with business objectives. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. - 7-10+ years of product management experience, with a strong background in residential security, smart home/connected devices, or relevant technology industries. - Proven track record of successfully leading and growing teams, portfolios and product lines, and revenue. - Experience with brand integration and driving synergies between different product lines. - Demonstrated experience in product management, roadmap development, sales and marketing management. - Demonstrated success in partnering with sales teams to drive market sizing, forecasting, and revenue growth. - Experience in managing vendor and partner relationships. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Deep understanding of product P&L, cost structures, and margin analysis, with a focus on maximizing ROI. - Extensive experience working with ODM partners and engineering teams on product development, from concept to launch. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and interpret complex market models and financial forecasts. - Proven ability to manage product portfolios with a focus on driving both top-line growth and profitability. - Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience influencing executive stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in product management methodologies and tools. - Computer literacy required, including advanced skills in Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PPT, etc.) - Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed. - An ability to remain resilient and focused in ambiguous and evolving situations.
