Product Designer (Maternity Cover)
# Product Designer (Maternity Cover) **Beyonk** · London W1B · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role The Opportunity Beyonk Group is a fast-growing startup in the SaaS industry, helping experience and attraction businesses grow with our ticketing software and marketing services. We operate globally, with our main client base across the UK and the US. Our customers are incredibly diverse, from farm parks and soft plays through to animal attractions and historic houses. We are hiring a Product Designer to cover maternity leave in our Product team, for approximately 10 months from November 2026, reporting to our Director of Product. There is potential for the role to become permanent. This is not a role where you are handed a finished spec and asked to make it look good. You will dig into how a feature should work before you design it: talking to customers and our Customer Success team, working through the rules and edge cases, and making the trade-offs with Engineering. Then you will design it, and make sure what is released matches what you designed. Our customers depend on us during their busiest seasons, so getting the detail right matters in a very tangible way. You will be working across the whole of the Beyonk product, from the provider dashboard to the customer booking flow. Key Responsibilities Design - Design new features and improvements across the Beyonk platform, from early flows and wireframes through to polished designs ready for development - Maintain and extend our Figma design system so the product stays consistent - Design for busy operators who need things to just work, often on a phone at the gate on their busiest day Product thinking and scoping - Get to the root of the problem before jumping to a solution, using customer conversations, support tickets, data and input from Customer Success and Sales - Work out how features should behave end to end, including rules, edge cases, permissions and dependencies on existing functionality - Challenge requirements and propose simpler or stronger alternatives - Help shape scope and priorities with the Director of Product, including what to cut for a first release - Write clear Linear tickets and acceptance criteria with the product and engineering team Research and validation - Run user research and testing sessions with providers, including our Beyonk Research Group of volunteer customers - Use feedback and usage to iterate on what has been released Delivery and quality - Work closely with Engineering during development to keep designs technically feasible and answer questions quickly - Review features before release to make sure the look, feel and behaviour are right, alongside our QA team - Create walkthroughs (e.g. Loom videos) so Customer Success and Sales understand new features before they launch Skills and attributes we are looking for - 2-4 years of product design experience in a software product environment, ideally B2B SaaS - Strong Figma skills, including working within and maintaining a design system (this is a must) - A portfolio that shows how you solved real user problems, not just final screens, ideally including a case where you changed what got built - Comfortable working through ambiguity and making product decisions, with or without a fully formed brief - Solid UX fundamentals: information architecture, interaction design, responsive design and accessibility - Clear, precise written communication, particularly when documenting how something should work - Strong commercial judgement - you understand that design decisions involve trade-offs between user value, effort and business impact - Comfortable in a small, fast-paced team where you are expected to own your work and processes are still being shaped - Some of the tools and apps we use regularly are: Figma, Linear, Slack, Loom, Claude and more Bonus points - Experience in ticketing, bookings, ecommerce or other transactional products - Experience writing tickets or acceptance criteria, or working in a product manager or product owner capacity What success looks like By the end of the cover period, the successful candidate will: - Have independently scoped and designed features from problem through to release, with Engineering confident building from their work - Have kept the design system and product experience consistent while our Director of Design is on leave - Have built strong working relationships with Product, Engineering and Customer Success - Have left clear documentation and designs so the handover back is smooth Why Beyonk? Beyonk is an incredibly fast-growing company in a space that genuinely matters, helping experience providers grow and connecting people with things to do in the real world. What really sets us apart is the team. There is a shared level of drive, ownership, and pride in what we are building that you will feel from day one. - Real ownership from the start: You will own design and product decisions on software that real customers depend on to run their business - Broader than design: You will get hands-on product experience alongside design, working closely with Product, Engineering and Customer Success - A team that takes ownership: We are a small, driven team that cares about doing things properly. People here are thoughtful, collaborative, and take responsibility for their work - A route to permanent: This is a fixed-term role, but there is potential for it to become permanent for the right person How we hire We take hiring seriously because every person who joins has a big impact on a team our size. We'll be clear about what to expect from the start. - Feedback: We aim to give feedback the day after each interview, but it can take up to three days. Sometimes we need time to discuss what we've learned and how your skills would fit into the team. If it will take longer, we'll let you know. - Stages: - Intro call: This will include a walkthrough of a project from your portfolio (~30 mins) - Round 2: We will provide you with a short take-home exercise which you will present to the team in your round 2 interview, talking us through your approach and process (60 mins) - Final interview: With a member of our management team Occasionally, we may add a stage if something comes up later that we want to explore further. This doesn't mean we're slow to make decisions. It means we'd rather take the time to get it right than rush. Practical details - Salary: £42,000-£50,000 - Contract: Fixed term, approximately 10 months starting November 2026, with potential to become permanent - Location: You'll be expected to work from our London office in Southwark once a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the rest of the week.
