# Procurement Officer **akme group** · Abu Dhabi · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 3 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role PROCUREMENT OFFICER – SPECIALTY COFFEE AND F&B Location: Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Employment Type: Full-time AKME Group is seeking an experienced, organized, and commercially focused Procurement Officer to support procurement activities across our specialty coffee shops, roastery, central kitchen, warehouse, and other F&B operations. The successful candidate will handle sourcing, supplier coordination, price negotiation, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, procurement documentation, and the timely availability of quality products across multiple outlets. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day procurement activities for specialty coffee and F&B operations. Receive approved purchase requests and prepare requests for quotations. Obtain and compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, specifications, availability, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Prepare purchase orders and ensure all required approvals are obtained before placing orders. Source coffee products, dairy and alternative milk, syrups, beverages, food ingredients, bakery and pastry materials, packaging, disposables, cleaning supplies, uniforms, and operational materials. Assist in sourcing espresso machines, coffee grinders, brewing equipment, water-filtration systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, spare parts, and maintenance services. Identify reliable local and international suppliers that meet the Company’s quality and commercial requirements. Negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and service conditions within approved authority. Coordinate with the Coffee Director, Roastery, Operations, Kitchen, Pastry, Warehouse, Finance, and outlet teams regarding purchasing requirements. Follow up with suppliers to ensure complete and timely delivery of all approved orders. Monitor essential product availability, supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, and market price changes. Support the prevention of stock shortages, overstocking, emergency purchases, expiry, and wastage. Verify that delivered items comply with approved purchase orders, samples, specifications, quantities, quality standards, and agreed prices. Coordinate the resolution of shortages, damaged goods, delayed deliveries, quality concerns, returns, credit notes, and invoice discrepancies. Maintain accurate supplier records, quotation comparisons, purchase orders, contracts, product specifications, delivery documents, and procurement files. Assist with supplier evaluations and maintain the approved supplier list. Prepare procurement reports covering spending, outstanding orders, supplier performance, price changes, and cost-saving opportunities. Coordinate with Finance to ensure invoices are supported by approved purchase orders and delivery documents. Ensure compliance with Company procurement procedures, food-safety requirements, approval limits, and applicable UAE regulations. Perform other procurement-related duties assigned by the Procurement Manager or Management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience , preferably within the UAE. Relevant experience in the specialty coffee, coffee roastery, café, hospitality, restaurant, catering, FMCG, or premium F&B industry is strongly preferred. Good knowledge of specialty coffee products, café consumables, food ingredients, packaging materials, and operational supplies. Experience sourcing coffee equipment, kitchen equipment, spare parts, and maintenance services will be an advantage. Strong supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, and purchasing skills. Good understanding of inventory coordination, supplier evaluation, and procurement controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using procurement or ERP systems. Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and attention to detail. Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple purchase requests and meet urgent operational deadlines. Excellent written and spoken English. A valid UAE driving licence is preferred. Immediate availability or a short notice period will be an advantage.
