The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of steel materials, fabrication requirements, vendor management, and project-based procurement. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement procurement strategies for steel structures and construction projects. - Manage procurement of structural steel, plates, sections, welding consumables, fasteners, bolts, paints, coatings, and other project materials. - Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors based on quality, cost, delivery, and technical capability. - Obtain and negotiate quotations, commercial terms, payment terms, and delivery schedules. - Coordinate with engineering and project teams to understand material specifications and project requirements. - Ensure materials are procured in line with approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project schedules. - Monitor purchase orders, material deliveries, lead times, and supplier performance. - Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers. - Coordinate with QA/QC for material approvals, MTCs, inspection requirements, and compliance documentation. - Identify potential procurement delays and develop alternative sourcing solutions. - Control procurement costs and support cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality. - Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, purchase orders, and delivery tracking. - Lead and supervise the procurement team and ensure timely completion of procurement activities. Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. - 10–15 years of procurement experience , preferably in steel structures, fabrication, construction, or infrastructure projects. - Strong knowledge of structural steel materials, fabrication requirements, fasteners, welding consumables, and coating materials. - Proven experience in supplier sourcing, negotiations, cost control, and vendor management. - Strong understanding of project procurement processes and material lead times. - Experience dealing with steel mills, fabricators, suppliers, and subcontractors preferred. - UAE/GCC procurement experience preferred. - Strong negotiation, communication, and team management skills. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED17,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
